Squeeze the bottom half of the 2-piece black plastic cylinder that connects the sprayer to the faucet. Gently pull down on the hose. If the connector is not a 2-piece cylinder, you need to push the connector up, as if you were connecting it, and while it is pushed up tight, pry up on the small ring on the top and gently pull down on the hose. I know it sounds like you need 3 hands, but it works (even though it is a pain).

I just experienced a simular situation. The hot water O ring broke apart and fragments of it made it to the quick connector and was stuck there. I have a 529 TCM model or Hanover. How I was able to get it off was apply upward pressure on the bottom of the connector and instead used a thin plier to apply downward pressure on the top of the floating "tightener" (think of the connector as a chinese finger trap where you need to apply directional force toward the center from both ends) from there you will hear a click and should be able to pull it off from there. Hope that helps

The sprayer should have a threaded fitting on the end of the hose. Unscrew old one from valve, pull hose out the top, feed new hose back down into cabinet and screw in to where old hose was attached.

The hose that goes to the Sprayer has to be disconnected under the sink at the main connection there, then it can be pulled up and out of the top of sink. the you can unscrew the nut under the sink on the flange and remove and replace.

The Price Pfister web site has a video showing you how to disconnect the hose. Basically, you have to push the hose end into the junction block and then grasp the gray plastic fitting, pull the fitting, NOT the hose, away from the junction block. This sounds good in theory, but when upside down with your hands stuck in a small crevase under the sink, it can be a real challenge. Go to the Price Phister web site and watch the video. Good luck.

How do i disconnect the sprayer connection in order to remove the counter weight so that the tap can be removed from the sink. It is one of the quick connect types that just push in.

There should be a ring around the female portion of the quick connect that pushes in allowing you to remove the male portion of the assembly.

If you are having trouble pushing it in use a set of adjustable pliers set to the size of the exterior ring to push it - it will be easier than using your fingers.
