Front loading washing machines

We r thinking about buying a front loading washing machine is there a consistant problem with front loaders i need to know and if so should i just stay with top loaders for the time being

Not really front loaders have top loaders beat all the way but stay away from admiral and maytag .a front loader will wash your clothes using the soap that your top load failed to get out if i may suggest buy a frigidaire with a mechanical timer not electronic control more junk on them more to fail the best combo in my mind is a frigidaire front loader and whirlpool dryer front loaders use 2/3 less water 2/3 less soap and will get your clothes twice as clean they have no transmissions and are direct drive the most common promblems with them is having to clean out the pumps where people leave stuff in their pockets also you need to buy soap thats for front loaders its called high effincey or he soap and they will get your clothes make sure you read the installation guide and remove ALL the shipping braces

Hi mine does exactly the same! I have to call in my washing machine technician more often (he told me this would happen with a top loader as opposed to a front loader, boy was he right!!) and he cleans out the drum. Mostly it is the fabric softener which is too thick. I water mine down to 50/50 and I do another spin after my final wash. I also empty the filter of water at the side/bottom of the machine. This annoying problem is caused by the way the drum turns on a top loader as opposed to the front loader. My top loader cannot heat water automatically either like a front loader, and I think this also adds to the problem as hot/boiling water would dissolve all that soap/fabric softener. Hope this helps.

Whirlpool Duet Front Loader won't get up to spin speed
Careful of overloading the front-loading washers. Too much of this will result in the bearings in the drum to go bad. When this happens, the rpms on the drum slow down due to belt slack. You can only see this with the back off of the unit and in the middle of the cycle. They do not sell replacement bearings...you'll have to buy the whole drum (bearings pressed inside) and for 1/2 the cost of a new washer. I hate front-loaders. I'll never buy one again.

There is a small gap between the metal basket and the plastic tub. Small items - especially small socks and silky clothing can slip through to reach the pump. Wash these items in a mesh laundry bag.

This is a "normal" characteristic of all front load machines. Only a Maytag Neptune positively addresses this issue. They have a long, thin, fine brush between the basket and tub which consistently prevents this issue in their machines.

Asko front load washing machine
When u use front loaders you normally don't need a soak. And i don't think you need bleach. Use front loading powders for the machine. The automatic machine is supposed to work for you. The water empties out, so you can open the door.
