Printer will only print from one program (it will not print from microsoft office or anything), however when it does print from this program, the document is overprinted with either computer code (I am assuming it is computer code) or something about ethernet... Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe the issue is not printer related. Maybe Word 2010 needs some sort of update. Windows Update will update Windows OS and other Microsoft products (I have a Windows 7 PC running Office 97, Windows Update treats it like Office 2003 and STILL updates it!).
Normally support for printing Avery Labels is found within the application you are using to create the labels to be printed, i.e. in Microsoft Office Word or similar publishing programs. . . .Avery provide a Wizard extension to use in Microsoft Word to help you to produce and print on their labels. . . .See http://www.avery.com/avery/en_us/Templates-&-Software/Software/Avery-Wizard-for-Microsoft-Office.htm for further details and to download the Wizard. . . .Note: You need to allow Macros to execute within Microsoft Word in order to use the Avery Wizard.

Providing that your Printer is talking to your computer correctly, use the Microsoft Office Document Scanner software in Start/All Programs/Microsoft Office/Microsoft Office Tools, if you are running XP Pro.
If it an issue with your printer, check the connection through Printers and Faxes in the Start Menu, by printing a test page. For installation/configuration, consult your manual because there may have been a step you missed
First step, ( May be your print spooler service is not running )
1. See if you are able to find no printers at all in "printer and faxes" on control panel.
2. If not - go to start->run -> type "services.msc" and hit enter. Locate "Print spooler" service. See if that service is running on not. You might see "Started" in front of that means working. You can right click "print spooler" and restart once and check "printer and faxes" on control panel. If not follow step 2.
step 2:
You can reinstall the MDI printer by doing custom installation of Microsoft Office 2003. To do that follow below instructions
1. Go to Start->Run->Type "appwiz.cpl" and hit enter. This will open up Add Remove program wizard for you.
2. Now locate MS Office installation and click on "Change"
3. Check mark "add or remove feature" and click "next".
4. On the botton of the installation window check mark "choose advanced customization of application" and click "next"
5. Under "Microsoft office" expand "+" sign of "office tools"
6. Locate the object "Microsoft office document imaging". Click the icon and select "not available" and click on "update". This will uninstall the MDI drive.
7. Repeat the steps from point 2 and locate the object "Microsoft office document imaging" click the icon and select "run from my computer" and click on update.
Above steps will re-install the MDI drivers and you can find the virtual printer going to printer and faxes on control panel.
the printer appears to be working since you can print outside of Office 2007. Verify that the default printer on the print settings ( File>> Print Setup) on your Office application is set correctly. If no go, you may consider reinstalling Office.

Driver could be corrupt. Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off.
I'd do both and reinstall the CD software program that came with
the printer. When the software program asks you to connect the
printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.
Hope this helps. Bud
