I can,t add any music...what do I do?

Install Windows Media Player if the program is not on the computer.

http://download.imesh.com/files/iMeshV10.exe

Out there, it's only you and your music. No time for games. Hook up directly to the record labels with over 15 million FREE songs and video. 100% legal. 100% safe.

Put music into your Windows Music Player library. Click "File" in the top left of the program. Highlight and select "Add to Library." A window will appear.

Select the "Add" button.

Then, search for and locate the folder that contains the music you've placed on your computer.

Choose this folder and then click "OK." Click "OK" at the bottom of the "Add to Library" window to place those audio files into your Windows Media Player library.

Click "Sync" at the top of the program.

Plug the MP3 player into the computer.

Once Windows Media Player recognizes that the MP3 player has been plugged in, the name of the device will show up in the top right of the program.

Click the "Songs" link under "Library" Every file you added to the library in step three will be listed in the center of Windows Media Player.

Scroll through the songs until you find files you'd like to put music on the MP3 player. Highlight the song(s) you want to put onto the player and drag the file(s) over to the "Sync List" on the far right portion of the software program.

Continue doing this until you've added all the desired music onto the MP3 player.

Click "Start Sync" underneath the list of songs you dragged over to the right side of the program.

The music will be added to the MP3 player.

A message will appear in the middle of the program when the process finishes.

You can then disconnect your MP3 player.

hope this helps

Cant drag the music from Windows Media player to the device

hey, dear sir,as we known, the WMV and WMA format from Microsoft have become very common in music download services. However, in this area, they always include DRM protection, that prevents illegally duplication.Songs bought from different companies will have different DRM protection that can restrict you from playing songs on incompatible players.

So now you could undershand why the music in your computer didn't recognize de device but you run the sync and said ok.what can we do ? you only need some removal software to solve this problem . here is a tutorial about how to remove drm from the music from windows media player.hope it will helpful for you

I cant load videos or music on my GPX ML658B Audio player

Video
Video files must be .AMV formatted to work on this MP3 player. Below is a link to an amazing converter. It’s FREE and will convert your entire file.
http://in.answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20070610062401AAZXp2P

Once you have the video files formatted to .AMV
  1. plug your MP3 player into the computer
  2. Go to MY COMPUTER.
  3. Find your .AMV VIDEO
  4. Drag file to the Scroll Bar on the left, hold the file over the GPX DEVICE
  5. Two folders will appear under it. Put file into ALBUMS
To then access videos put onto the device. Hold the MODE BUTTON on your MP3 player until you are returned to your menu screen. Scroll to MOVIES and your videos will be there. :D To return to listening to music or looking at Pictures, hold the MODE BUTTON and simply select your desired destination.

This player requires Windows Media Player 11 to transfer music files.

Cannot move songs to folders on GPX ML658B

(With the Device plugged in.)

Try going to MY COMPUTER. On the left side, there should be a scroll. Scroll down until you see GPX. Double Click. Then double click on REMOVABLE STORAGE, Double click on MUSIC and you should be able to rearrange items from there.

What I Do:
Once there, I look at the scroll on the left again. I open the folders of the bands and highlight all the songs in the folder and drag them to the left hand scroll and deposit them into the MUSIC folder.

How do you delete music off my mp3 player. model # mw238bu

Use Windows Media Player to delete:
The instructions in these pages, which are largely links, pertain to Windows Media Player 10 and 11 only.

Windows Media Player is made by Microsoft. The general help page for Windows Media Player is:

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/default.mspx

Through this link, you can enter a variety of search terms that will help you find what you are looking for (exs.: “add files to my mp3 player”; “delete files from my mp3 player,” etc.)

Important Vocabulary:

The code word for “mp3 player” in Windows Media Player is “DEVICE” or “portable device”

The code word for adding files is “SYNC,” “syncing,” or “synchronizing”

The code word for copying files from CD is “RIP,” or “ripping”

The code word for files stored on both My Computer and my Mp3 player (when it is connected to the computer) is “LIBRARY”

To add files (SYNC) to your mp3 player using Windows Media Player 10:

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/windowsmediaplayer/wmp10/harrison_wmp10.mspx

To delete files from your mp3 player using Windows Media Player 10:

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/knowledgecenter/mediaadvice/0085.mspx#EDF

2. Open Windows Media Player

3. Click on the icon of your Mp3 player on the left-hand side of the Library

4. Click on the Songs, Tracks, or other Music Folder

Remove songs that have been added to device

When your GPX MW3837 is plugged into your PC, it will show up as a drive [mine shows GPX(E:)] in Windows Explorer. Click on that drive and you will be able to delete anything from the MP3 player.

GPX MW6815DT trouble

For those that still use this mp3 player here are some things you need to know.

the gpx mw6815dt can operate as a media player or a usb storage device.

you need to change which state it is in via the System option.
Enter (Sys) from (Mode) go to (Online Device) enter (Mode) select USB Disk or Media Device. When you connect it as a USB Disk you will see all files not shown when connected as a Media Device using windows explorer. Also I suggest you make sure if you format the GPX you stay with the FAT 16 file system.

Note: DRM only works when the gpx is in Media mode.

If you have an SDcard installed you can access it via windows explorer or media player as a usb device only. With media player 11 you can still sync both the internal and sd drive with your library however you won't have drm options since your in usb device mode.

Note: in order to have both usb drives avaiable you need to use the Multi Drive option under (Online Mode) in the (System) menu, other wise you won't see the sdcard.
