My E3 error turned out to be because I was pulling the strap too tight. When I tried again with the relcro strap loosened slightly, it worked perfectly. :-). Thanks for the info on what each code means. It helped a lot.

SOURCE: Walgreens digiital blood pressure monitor model

Since that BP Monitor has a 5 year warranty. Your best bet is to contact HoMedics (the manufacturer) Customer Support @ 800-456-3342. That's assuming you replaced the old batteries with new one's out of a in date package and all are placed properly.

Testimonial: "Thank You I think we might need a new one, over 5 years old."

Directions to use Model 83 Walgreens digital blood pressure monitor

The Walgreens Model 83 was not made by Homedics, but in 1999 by Omron at http://www.omronhealthcare.com

I called the 800-634-4350 number on the back of the device, and got someone who immediately emailed me the instruction manual! Now that is unusually good service for this day-and-age.

I would have posted the PDF here, but this site doesn't allow PDF uploads.

When my wife takes her blood pressure she gets error 3 every time. When I do it, it works. What could we be doing wrong.

2 things could be causing the problem, when your wife is doing it.

1. Improper placement of the cuff. If should be at least 1" above the heal of the hand and the cuff snugly applied.

2. Movement when the monitor is in operation. Hold hand and arm very still.

Also, for the most accurate reading, the hand/wrist should be at heart level.

Hope this helps clear up the problem for you.

Need Owners Manual for UB-322 Cuff Blood Pressure

Walgreens stocks and sells this monitor. Simply go to your closest Walgreens, speak to the pharmacist and I'm sure they'd be happy to make you a copy of the Owners Manual from one on the shelf.

I use the Walgreens digital blood pressure monitor. After inflating to 166, it deflates and says ERROR, no readings given. Please help. model # BD-1234W. serial #050479920

Wherever you attach it - there must be a pulsating artery; Some people have atypic artery locations, old embolism with collateralisation (arterys everywhere except the place you think they are). Try another arm/leg/finger. Try it on your husband/nice/neighbour. Look if the marterial has a defect - then the error occurs in anybody, or if it measures accurately in the postman and not in you _ then you must look for a,other place to measure. If you have cardiacabnsolute arrhythmia or a lot of backfires (extra systoles): forget electronic measuring devices. Buy an old one with a stethoscope

Err 3 is displayed

Wrist blood pressure monitors must be used with the arm above heart level. You can do the pledge of allegiance while doing a reading to make sure this is done. Usually this error occurs when inflation takes too long or the placement of cuff is wrong.
