I am trying the Futura CE350 embroidery for the first time. 1) why isn't the needle positioned in the hoop area? should I move it? and 2) I receive an 'E-6' error.

Turn the software on your cpu, turn on Futura, the hoop handle will move automatically, then attach the hoop, send the design to the machine, lower the foot handle, press start. Important, avoid jamming the bobbin by using cotton thread on the bobbin. And you should have received a software tutorial to read before using the machine. I have a Futura CE250, the tutorial is easy and fun.

My xl400 singer embroidery carriage has stopped working. Will not move at all when machine is turned on. Also keep getting msg error about hoop size but no hoop attached.

The switch for "sew" or "embroidery" must first be in the "embroidery" position.
Make sure the connections are very firmly pushed in.
If it still isn't functional it may require some small motors to be replaced. The motors are what makes the hoop move.

All lights blink constant

That's an indicator that something is wrong with the machine, but it's usually user fixable. I'm going to assume that that happens when you attach the embroidery unit and turn the machine on. It indicates that for whatever reason, your machine cannot move the hoop to its default position. That could be because you have the small hoop attached (turn it on with NO hoops), the needle is not in its HIGHEST position, or the unit itself is not making a complete connection. Make sure that it is on solid level surface, raise the needle to its highest position (ALWAYS turn the wheel towards you), make sure the unit is making solid contact, and remove all hoops, and then try turning it on.

Board

Close your futura file & exit, switch off your futura machine. Disconnect the embroidery unit from the machine, move the hoop carriage a bit to the left then to the right & it should be able to move. Connect back embroidery unit to your futura machine, ensuring the connecting point click properly. Re thread the machine & ensure needle is fully up position. Now you switch on the machine, you will see hoop carriage moving and stop at its zero point. If that is OK and the earlier led blinking gone, you should be able to operate the futura embroidery program again.

My bobbin thread keeps coming to the top of my fabric during embroidering on my Singer Futura CE350, I've tried bobbin embroidery thread, regular embroidery thread and clear nylon thread, I've tried...

With the embroidering, some of the bobbin thread is SUPPOSED to show on the top of your embroidery-the machine isn't doing anything incorrectly. You'll need to thread your bobbin with the same thread as you are using with the top. I had the same "problem" when I first got the machine and took it to a wonderful local technician whose helped me with a lot of things who informed me that this is perfectly normal on embroidery machines.

I have a Singer Futura CE350 and I am trying to embroidery for the first time. I have watched the video and did the tutorial and have it all set up right. My needles keep breaking and my bobbin thread...

Make sure your machine is properly threaded. Use both hands when you thread it. First test your machine sewing regularly, if is fine it could be the tension. It has the tension preset but sometimes it requires for it to be loose or tighter. Also make sure your needles are properly installed. the flat part suppose to be facing away from you.
Are you filling your bobbins in embroidery mode? It helps a lot! Look for the steps online.

The embroidery carriage

Wow, I finally get to have a solution.
1. Turn the machine off.
2. Remove the hoop.
3. CAREFULLY slide the bar on the embroidery unit to the left.
4. CAREFULLY slide the piece where the hoop attaches toward you.
5. Turn on the sewing machine. The machine should take the unit to "standby" with a click.
6. Attach the hoop with the power on.
7. Exit the Futura program.
8. Restart the software.
This "should" fix the problem, however, you may have to repeat this process more than once to get it to "stick".

The carriage of the embroidery unit is not move automatically to the embroidering standby position.

Is the need in upright position ?

or have you fitted the embroidery hoop correctly.
If all else fails switch off and start up again - should then automatically go to correct position.

Needle sticking on hoop

When you switch the machine on with the embroidery unit on, it is suppose to calibrate itself and move the bottom left position. If not, the problem lies with the embroidery unit. If the machine is still under warranty your dealer should fix it free of charge.
