Tub not spinning with load

Tub will spin empty, when loaded it will rock back and forth and tumble at a slow speed, like the wash cycle. a light load will eventually spin after 15-20 minutes of balancing the load?

I would suspect a faulty motor control board. not much you can do to test it unfortunately, aside to replacing it and see if that fixes the problem, but definitely the best guess. Also known as a speed board.

Roper direct drive top load washer the agitator only spins one way and the tub doesn't rock back and forth during wash cycle.

Gearbox / Transmission issue. Call a service tech. It is a greasy messy job and needs special tools. It take about an hour and a quarter.

WFS1073DD front load WASHING MACHINE Everything works but will not spin fast enough to spin the water out. It spins very slow

Early automatic washers used a motor with multiple windings to provide the various speeds required by different parts of each wash programme. Modern washers use an entirely different sort of motor and the speeds are selected and controlled electronically with feedback to ensure the speed is correct.

I suspect the problem is the electronics - the part of the programmer and controller that regulates the motor speed but you should check the motor and motor brushes, the drive belt and all electrical connections as a matter of best practice before you spend money...

My Whirlpool frontloader washer will run an empty load but when clothes are present it kicks out an F7E1 error code. From what I can tell this means that the tub can not spin but we know that is not c

If the motor is a "Induction motor" it could be that a coil has gone open circuit so there is enough power to run on empty but not enough on a load. Another indicator is on the wash programme with a load in it, instead of tumbling it just rocks back and forward. If this is the case, new motor I'm afraid.

Kenmore Front Loading Washer - the spider arm broke and we had to change the entire tub assy which was done and the machine now works perfectly as for the washing and tumbling. The tub spins, tumbles back...

It is the brain of the washer that decides when the spin takes place and how fast - the brain knows how fast the motor is spinning because there is a speed sensor, probably on the rear end of the motor shaft.

There might be bad connections to the speed sensor or it might be broken but if that and the wiring is ok the fault is probably with the controller/brain, though it is possible the brain refuses to do a high speed spin because for some reason it might (mistakenly?) think there is still too much water in the tub.

Will not go into high speed final spin after rince cycle..only spins back and forth slowly and the uE indicator comes on stopping the machine. Have tried taking out a few laundry items and re-starting and...

uE is unbalanced error. When you have bulky items, wash them with a slow spin speed. Larger loads actually balance out better, so adding items might help instead of subtracting them. After the cycle completes, if you want to you can turn the power on again and (without selecting a cycle) just push the spin speed selector button and select the next highest spin speed. The load will most likely make it through the next higher speed now that it is partially spun out. You should get a 14 minute spin and pump only when you start it now.

Codes and holes

Hi mandystreet,
I’m an owner like you; from what you describe I feel you have a clutch issue if you’re machine is a FAV6800AW or FAV9800AW. I'll bet it completes the spin cycle with no clothes in the wash basket. Here is what is happening
See this post for a step by step process to remove the clutch. Try a maintenance clean up of the One-way Roller Clutch bearing and see if that will get you back in service, if not I would do a Clutch replacement.
Your machine is shutting down the spin cycle with dc and UC errors so your Tub Displacement Sensor is working as designed.
From the Service Manual page 12;
During fill cycle – If machine tumbles and spins simultaneously replace clutch assembly.
During spin cycle – If machine tumbles and spins simultaneously replace clutch assembly.
You can check this out by turning off the water supply lines if you check during water fill cycle. Lift the washer top from the base and observe the action during water fill or spin cycle. The Service Manual will show you how to raise the washer top from the base.
This is happening because the clutch One-way Roller Bearings are sticky, slightly rusted. When the machine enters spin cycle the agitator shaft is slightly engaged because the one-way roller clutches are dragging this will cause the agitator shaft to rotate in spin cycle spinning the tumblers slightly. In this condition the wash load is tossed about while the wash basket begins to spin up. This will cause the Tub to become unbalanced and the tub starts making greater swings.
This continues until the TDS (Tub Displacement Sensor) signals an unbalance condition to the Control Board and shuts the cycle down with a dc or UC unbalance errors. If the TDS fails in this mode the machine would likely walk across the floor until it unplugged itself or ended in a self-destruct.… :)
A WD-40 clean up and re-lube may get you back in service. Just follow this posting step by step. If you are not a DIY type direct your service repair to this e-mail to help speed you to repair and control cost. You can redistribute the wash load until the cows come home and you will continue to fail with UC or dc unbalance errors…. Fix the clutch issue and your machine will be happy and so will the owner.

Maytag neptune frot load will not reach full spin speed.

It will not spin while washing, it's more of a rocking back and forth. As far as the spin cycle. If it's not reaching full speed I bet you'll notice that it's not doing the full cycle because the load is bouncing around and cause the washer to shut off. take some of the clothes out and watch it spin the water out.

Washer won't spin fast, only slow

tyr removing the lower acees panel from the uint , ther is a "button trap" located there to catch debris from entering pump assy, chances are its clogged and if it cant drain all the water it wont go into high speed spin, also you MUST use an HE detergent. HE detergent specifically designed for front loading washers

Spin/Drain cycle...Kenmore 417.40042990 Front load belt drive washer.

If the water is draining quickly (less than 30 secs) every time, than it sounds like its sensing an out of balance load, the CCU looks for this.... Before every spin cycle it goes through an out of balance routine it will do this even when empty.....It speeds up, slows down and will tumble again at least once....then speeds up ....looks at motor amps......decelerates.....looks at rate of deceleration.......Then decides if its ok to spin at the high speed...or if it should tumble again to distribute the clothes....If it cant balance itself to what it like than it will spin at a lower speed like yours is doing if its bad enough than it wont spin at all really (very slow). Im sure you checked the shocks while you were looking at the pump, but double check that there not broken at the mounts, or lots of grease at the base mount. If thats all good than you should try this......Sort a large size load of just regular tshirts and casual wear (no towels, jeans). Let me know how it spins then. Also make sure that its draining quickly every time. Sometimes the drain pump can appear fine and not be starting every time.

Kenmore 44042 - No spin cycle

The front load washers are supported by springs on the top and shocks on the bottom.  More than likely you broke a spring on the top or cracked one of the shock mounts which causes and unbalanced load all the time.  Will it go through a spin cycle with no clothes is it?
