Problems with microphone

You phoned microphone needs to be replaced. The speaker and Mic are two different components and works independently as well. IF people on the receiving end cant hear you, then your microphone is not fuctioning. Take it ti yiur dealer if it is still under warrantee or a reputable repair shop to replace the microphone

yep there is a problem with your microphone if you are sure the phone has no other problems. Sometimes when you are talking and if the screen is a touch screen your cheeks can by mistake press the mute button. but in that case you can use the SPEAKER OPTION and see if it s working or not. Hope this helps.

The fact that the mic is working when your receive a call, mean that the mic is working. I recommend taking your phone to the nearest Care centre and ask them to "flash" your phone.
This seems like a software problem.
That procedure can wipe all data from your phone so please backup your phone to your pc before you take it in.

It's problem with mic in your phone. May be dusty or defective. Clean or replace it.

make sure there is no blue tooth paired with your phone. then check that the mute is not on or speaker phone. If all is good in this respect, talk to the carrier about a new one.

The problem why you cannot hear the person you are talking to with the one at the top front(the main earpiece) is that the front earpiece of your phone is bad that is you cannot hear anything unless you put it on speaker.

All you need to do is to replace the front earpiece of your phone and you will see that you will hear when you are talking to anyone.

Change the front earpiece as advice and you see that you will hear your conversation when calling or receiving calls.

I have the same problem. It took me a month to figure out the problem. The scenario is simple i Techie guy so i use internet with my phone Email, Chat does not make a problem sometimes i have to use bandwidth hungry applications like VPN or download a file like 5 mb the phone gets hot to the bottom like i cannot explain how much you will get unconscious. So the microphone is to the bottom. The most sensitive part with a thin paper it will sure not work I THink you got the idea... Burned out but still works to its last Great Phone right. My Colleagues like my non talk able phone very much.........

it's right, during a phone call in HTC HD, the screen may shut down but you can easely turt it on again by presseing the on/ off botton once.

for touch pro, am not sure but it seems to be the version came after HTC HD, so all the problems in HTC HD should be solven in Touch pro.

Probably the ear-speacker is dead. Cause when you turn the speaker phone mode it uses the main speaker on the back of the phone. You'd better bring it to warranty service. But firstly try doing like this: while the device is off get the battery, the sim-card and the microSD out. Then return them to their places and turn the device on. Sometimes it helps.
