Can't get my back to basics blender opened

I have a back to basics blender express and I can't get it opened to fix it. I have removed all the screws on the bottom but I still can't get the bottom off. Does anyone have any ideas?

HELP! I've removed the screws as well and can't get the bottom off because I can't get the gray gear that the jug fits onto off. I just need to clean the buttons inside--they're sticking!

I removed the motor coupling and after troubleshooting the blender found that the thermal fuse was blown. I think Radio Shack might have the fuse I need if not I know an online site that definitely does.

I have one of those back to basics blender express machines and it will not come open. i've run hot water over it and cold water but the thing is the seal ring was missing but it still closed so i closed...

The seal ring probably stopped the blender from tightening to far. It is a good idea to warm the blender but you can also try tapping it with a small piece of wood or similar as you try to open it. I think it may just need a bit more force to get it open. Be aware that it could break - but you can't use it at the moment anyway!

Hi, I have a Back to Basics BPE3BRA3 Blender Express Plus blender. Can I get the motor base as replacement somewhere? All the jars and blade bases are like new.

I contacted the Focus Electric Company which has owned Back to Basics now.
They guarenteed to replace the motor if it was purchased within a year.
I sent them the receipt and they confirmed that they ll send me the same within 7-10 days.

Thanks.

Back to Basics Blender Express won't come on, it worked last week now will not even come on. Does anyone have any ideas how to repair or what it could be?

I generally agree with Guest's suggestion - it is FAR cheaper to replace this blender than to repair it, but you can call the manufacturer at 866-290-1851 to explore your options.
