Whirlpool duet GEW9250PW1 electric dryer squeals

Whirlpool duet GEW9250PW1 electric dryer
It squeaks and squeals when the dryer is on and drum turns. At this point it still dries my clothes fine and I can use the different settings.

    Hi,

If you cannot get them out for noises then tell them that it is simply not working properly. If it is squealing then it is just a matter of time till it will break.

I would tell them it is not working satisfactorily and then get the repair guy to replace whatever is making the noises...

You need to understand also that they do get called for many non-exsistant troubles... :-)

What is capacity of my whirlpool duet ggw9250pw1? I don't see the answer identified. thank you

The Whirlpool Duet ggw9250pw1 looks like it has a 7.0 cu. ft. capacity. This is based on two different sources. The first has the GGW9250PW1 in a list of parts for 7.0 cu. ft. capacity Whirlpool dryer models. See http://www.appliancepartspros.com/search.aspx?model=whirlpool%20duet%207%200%20cu%20ft%20super%20capacity%20electric%20dryer .
Similarly, the related electric dryer, GEW9250PW1, is shown as having a 7.0 cu. ft. capacity at AJMadison.com: https://www.ajmadison.com/cgi-bin/ajmadison/GEW9250PW.html .

I hope this helps.

Really Bad Squeeky Noise

It could be a squeal from the dryer belt. It could be from a belt that has gotten loose, like you hear on a car sometimes when it first starts up, but usually they don't get loose. They just break. Maybe something has gotten jammed between the dryer drum and the interior of the dryer making it hard for the belt to turn the drum and so it is squealing. Does the drum turn by hand without too much force and without squealing?

My dryer is squealing and have to run it twice to get my clothes dry

the squealing/squeaking noise is more then likely your drum rollers:

http://www.partselect.com/dryer+dryer-tears-clothes+repair.htm

the drying twice is a venting issue:

Whirlpool duet dryer felt seal replacement

The drum may to be removed to install the new felt gasket but the old drum can then be reinstalled. The felt gasket seals the joint where the drum rotates at the inside back panel. It is likely that the inside back panel can be removed when the dryer is placed front-down and the outside back panel is removed. In that case the drum does not have to come out.

Whirlpool Duet Dryer is scorching clothes

there is a sensor in the exhaust line in the dryer, near the motor. this tells the heating element to shut off when it gets to a certain temp, either during reg cycle or if the exhaust gets clogged, it is meant as a safety measure, but it sounds like yours is bad so the heating element never shuts off. it is not an expensive part and easy to replace
