My Simpson top loader swt1043 when turned on and dial set but when pause/start is press the light comes on instead of the flashing but nothing happens.

When you put a smaller load in and it fills up and starts there is less water in that smaller load and you're bigger load I think you have a problem with either the sensor on the circuit board or the pipe that goes from the bottom of the drum up to the circuit board. water pushes up that pipe and forces air into a sensor there could be a problem with the sensor or the pipe, maybe the pipe has Lint in it and it needs to be cleaned.

Dial won't set

you can possibly remove the knob itself, and see if you can turn the dial itself. if you can, then you can probably see the knob is broken. if if the shaft turns, but doesn't move the gears, then you will just need a new dial switch.

Load size dial on washer spins freely instead of moving to setting

That setting has to do with how much water is let into the drum. You can get a new switch for that. If you post the model number.

GE WWSE5200B Top Load Washer does not drain or spin

Jim, we have same problem with Simpson top loader washing machine.
Our repairer eventually diagnosed it as a problem with the electronics but it can't be fixed. So we have a 3 year old machine with good pump , motor, gearbox etc but need to buy new machine now. Yours might be similar problem. Don't buy a simpson. Sorry, this is just what we've been told.

Not working-push button controls-do not work correctly-sometimes

You need to replace your user interface board. Always order with the correct model number on the unit. This will eliminate you issues

Can you please identify the problem with my washing machine?It appears all the functions of my simpson 175 washing machine work normally except the agitator only moves briefly and harshly for between 1 and 2 seconds.

About 6to7 kg.to b honest the machines i find that last the longest r kleenmaid top loaders,maytag top loader,whirpool top loaders,and miele front loaders, i would try to advoid electronic units.nothing will b as robust as your 175.

Hi, i'm sure you have a new machine by now, i contemplated a bosch front loader, but looked at all the pros and cons and settled for a new simpson, the equivalent of my old simpson 175 that lasted 22 years! at $1000 cheaper and and with less working parts to go wrong I think i picked a winner!
