most of the time when that happens first thing you do is make sure water is getting to the solenoid for the ice maker if you have a water despencer you have water the solenoid for the ice maker is normally found in the back of frig near bottom pull frig out till you can get behind it look where water line goes into the frig solenoids for water and ice maker should be there. leave frig plugged up have someone use the water despencer feel whitch one that is replace the other one
Hello Either the ice maker makeup water tube is frozen or the solinoid timer for water is broken.
Try running a hair dryer near where the water comes through the refridge wall to the ice maker, this will remove any ice blocking the water from coming in.
If you press the botton for ice or water do you hear anything? If not the switches could be out or your fountain assembly may be bad. Check to see if you hear noise. You can even wiggle the arm to see if it activates.

The ice maker unit give the command to the water valve to relese water for a short time.
you cna check with volt meter on the water volve that got the pip go to
the ice maker unit if it getting 120V for short time when the fingers
of the ice maker making full round.
if you get 120v the problem is the valve (the ice maker and the water
have difrent water path so its difrent valve used) if you dont get 120v
or the fingers of the ice maker not turning then its your ice maker
unit need to be replace.
I hope you find this Very Helpful and best regards!
sounds like your ice maker has a degraded coating on the mold that forms the cubes. if you remove it from the freezer, then you can see if the coating is coming off. if so then you need to replace the ice maker.
Check the ice maker first by filling with tap water. Let freeze and if it cycles and dumps the dual water control valve on rear is defective. If ice maker does not cycle then I think you have a problem with the ice maker. Thanks, Sea Breeze
Look for that model number.
if the water tank is frozen, i would raise the temp on the fridge for a while but, Im sensing an issue with the water valve assembly. may be stuck in the closed position.
The fill tube could be frozen. Gently use a hairdryer. If not you have to check the fill valve coil in the back to see if it's getting power. If it is replace the valve. if not check wiring connections etc. If there's no power out of the Im to the valve, replace the IM
