TV VCR Combo Sylvania 6319CE eats VHS tapes. They get hung up on a slender spindle near the rear. can be removed by lifting up and over with a pencil eraser. When stuck the TV also shuts down as I've read others do. Is the large shiny drive wheel not supposed to look so shiny? Are wet VCR cleaning tapes an idea? Can I use Q-Tips on all but the Video Heads?

Yes the drive wheel gets hard and shiny after time I have had succes scoring lines into it Good luck

SOURCE: directv remote (RC64) problem with sylvania 6319ce tv/vcr combo

I installed systems for Directv, and whenever i went into a home that had a combo tv / vcr, i could never get a set to program properly. At the most on some sets the remote would turn the tv set on and off, but others functions were non responsive.

Sorry,no the VCR mechanical systems pully is out wax.Not worth fixing because the VCR technology it in the past or probabally have no more parts for analonge tv or produced by the tv manufacture anymore.If u vaule ur VHS tapes,just don't used the VHS tapes in this machine.

I have a Sylvania tv/vcr combo, Model# SRC2213X. When i watch a vhs tape my volume works fine but when i watch regular cable all i hear is a popping sound and nothing else.
Is the cable watched via a cable receiver? If so, you might have a connection issue between the Cable box and the TV

Vcr cuts my tv off after i put the tape in
The VCR is not turning the TV power off. The tape is not playing. I'd guess maybe it needs a cleaning or a replacment.

VCR tape was hung in Sylvania SRDV495. Got the
You need the aligniament the eject gears to tape gears.Please remove the cover platen and the rear cover(bottom) and align the gears manually.Obturated the sensors hole and insert the cassette.Verify the eject and the tape belts.If you have knowlwdge VCRs the problems solved in 1 hour.

The tv turns on, but the tape is stuck, will not eject
the rubber band inside for the ejecting mechanism broke. you need to take it apart and reattch with a rubber band.

HELP! I can't figure out how to Connect my Sylvania DVD/VCR Combo to my older TV
Even if you do get it connected you cannot copy from vhs to dvd as you have bought a vcr recorder with dvd player, not a dvd recorder. You can only record to the vcr tape from a dvd, in the players controls.
