Does not complete a wash cycle

No blockages on waste pipe,
All filters cleaned.

  • Anonymous Apr 05, 2010

    Hi,

Sorry I had the wrong model number, the actual number is FAVORIT 40010 Vi.

After reading your mail I can confirm that the cycle stops automatically and the door opens, but the red indication light at the bottom of the door stays on.

The cycle stop is very intermittant but usually happens during the end of a wash or at the drying stage, the water appears to be very hot, do you think this is a heater/thermotat issue?

I look forward to your response.

    Kindest Regards

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. If the cycle doesn't complete, then the first thing that should be checked is the Timer and then the heating element. Timers don't often fail. But if every other part of the dishwasher seems to be working properly and the timer knob seems to be stuck in one place--doing one function continuously--the timer may be at fault. Dishwasher timers can't be repaired. If yours is defective, replace it. Many dishwashers heat the wash and/or rinse water to a higher temperature, as the cycle calls for it. In these cycles, the dishwasher pauses after it has filled with water, waiting for the water to reach the pre-set temperature. What happens next depends, as follows: On some units, the pause is timed and the unit continues after the allotted time. On others, the cycle can't continue until the water reaches the higher temperature. If you have this type of dishwasher and the water isn't being heated (say, because of a problem with the heating element or thermostat), after the unit stops at the heating cycle, it never continues. When you repair the heating-system problem, the "cycle problem" is fixed too. Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.

Thanks
Rylee

As I said earlier you should start with checking the Timer(if you hear a clicking sound then it is bad), another thing is the heating element(if the water is getting too hot then it usually does then it is the heating element that is bad and needs to be replaced). Also please read the temperature issues in my previous comment which will make you understand what happens with the temperature. Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.

    Thanks
    Rylee

Water is not drained from the tub when washing of the dishes is complete

The filter is probably blocked.

It is inside the base of the machine.

Take out the filter and clean it and also clean out the filter well as that can also hold quite a bit of debris.

Aquarius hotpoint wf541 wont pump the water out at the end of the cycle

You need to clean the filter.
Remove lower rear cover of washer.
Locate and remove large black hose fastened to bottom of drum.
Remove and clean the filter inside hose.
Remove hose onto pump, and check for blockage or obstruction here as well
Hope this helps with your problem

Hi we have a hotpoint washing machine. the machine is some thing error . eg...check out let pipes

That means it is not draining the water for one reson or another.
Check the drain hose is clear of any blockage or obstruction.
If it has a removable filter at the front, then take it out, and clean it.
If the outlet pipe goes into your sink waste, disconnect the connection onto the waste and check for blockage there.
Try pumping the water into a bucket to check for flow.
Plz rate my soluion.
Thanks.

Not completing cycle

if your waste pipe is attached to the sinks waste you might find the wastepipe connection blanked off, simply unscrew and remove blank. Or your water supply maybe off.

Wash cycle stops

Yes you have a blockage on.or you waste pump is not working..

To check for blockage undue the filter to check.

Another way is lower the waste pipe to ground leve so any water in the drum is drained away by gravity.. if water does come out then your pump is most likely faulty

hope this helps if you need any help dont hesitate to ask

Wash machine

There is most likey a blockage the machine needs to empty firts to progress on to the rinse function. A blockage either in the filter or somewhere along the waste pipe (even where it is connected to the sink ) can cause this type of problem.. If this is not the case then its something else but dont know untill you let us know what machine it is.....

Miele washing machine model W713 front load - issues

If it is leaking from the waste pump area it may be blocked by a small piece of clothing like a sock or something similar! This will also cause it to take too long to complete a cycle. Remove the rubber hose onto the waste pump and check inside the hose and the pump, make sure the pump spins freely and that nothing is stuck in the hose pipes leading to the pump
