Change TV resolutions to view slide shows

Nope. The picture resolution has to be 1080 to fill the screen completely. Using stretch and zoom will distort the low rez pictures. No option to change resolution on the TV itself.

Cant get the tv to go from 720 to 1080

Changing the resolution of 720 to 1080 is dependent of the input television. Make sure the HDMI cable connection or a PC cable connected properly.
If you uses a PC input, you should set the resolution with 720 to 1024 first. then set to higher resolution. If there is a problem when doing settings dark picture or not support, it means that the TV does not support the resolution.
Perform way above the HDMI connection too.
Hope this helped solve your problem.

Cannot get a full screen on my laptop. I only get 3/4 of the screen.

Try adjusting the Screen Resolution to a different size. Based on your operating system you can right-click in the center of your desktop and select either (xP) Properties then the Settings tab or (Vista/7) Screen Resolution and under the Resolution area try adjusting the slider and click Apply until you get one that fills in your complete LCD.

I need an authorisation code to retune a 42 inch LCD full HD 1080 TV Product L42E77AZ TCLELE

The TV will display the signal it is being fed with and adjust itself according to the video signal resolution. The video source tells the TV what the resolution it should display. 720 in 720 out on the screen, 1080 in 1080 on th screen (if TV can do 1080p or 1080i).
What kind of signal you are feeding your TV with.

I BELIEVE THE ISSUE IS THE RESOLUTION THAT THE VIDEO CARD IS SET AT. IF YOU ARE USING THE SAME RESOLUTION AS THE PC, IT WON'T WORK.

TRY SETTING THE VIDEO CARD RESOLUTION AT 1920 X 1080. THIS SHOULD WORK.
