I can only take 8 pictures. I put in a sd 256 chip thing, but internal memory is still full after only 8 pictures.

My camera claims there is no memory card installed. It is installed, has been formatted, and has even put pictures from

it on my computer. It is a 256MB 133X, which worked in another camera, but no luck in this new one.

Says memory full put a new sd card in says thats full too cant move anything to sd card

If you look carefully, what usually occurs is that it is the internal memory that is getting full. It is very hard to fill an SD card unless you have a LOT of pictures and videos saved. Some apps are written to allow them to be moved to and run from the SD card, others allow their data to be stored there, but unfortunately, most still seem to insist that they run exclusively on internal memory. This prohibits the ability to free up internal memory and eventually results in your having to decide which apps are more important than others. Cleaning up the memory by deleting data caches helps, but until the phone manufacturers either increase internal memory or insist that apps writers take advantage of SD cards when available, this problem will continue to haunt us all.

Transfer pictures to internal memory from memory card

Although most cameras do have an internal memory, the space is very limited. Most of the time you can store on or two pictures. When you shoot in lowest quality, perhaps 10.
If the internal memory is full you can move the pictures from the internal memory to a SD memory card. Not the other way around.
For this see the manual (English) page 33

Yes.
Put the card in and turn the camera on. Press the MENU button. Select the Setup menu (wrench icon). Select "Copy".

It keeps saying memory card is full. Bought a new memory card and put in and it still says the card is full.

Are you sure that isn't "internal" memory card is full message?

Sometimes, when "internal memory card is full" there is no more space in the camera's internal memory. Your camera has 16 MB of internal memory. The number of pictures you can store depends on the picture size setting you have selected on your camera. Keep in mind that the camera always uses internal memory, even if a card is installed (auto default).

If really, the problem is in the "SD memory card", I suggest make some backup all files and reformat the SD. Try formatting it in the camera, there should be a process in your owners manual for doing this; donw formatted SD in your computer, isn't good.

Hope helps.

When I try to take a picture, it says memory full. But, when I try to look at the memory it says no file. I tried using the disk, installing software, formatting it.. Nothing works. The SD memory card is...

Format the SD card make sure the camera is set to place the new files on the SD card and not go to the internal memory. What I fully expect is the camera has defaulted to using the internal memory which is now full of files/pictures and needs to be set back to SD card. To get the pictures from the internal memory to your computer you need to load the pictures one by one from the internal memory to the SD card. Then take them from the SD card ether to a card reader to the computer or download them from the camera to the computer.

Always says MEMORY Full

Try the SD card on your computer to see if it recognizes and will store pics on the card. If that doesn't help, try another SD card.

Just put a new memory card in the camera but the screen keeps showing internal memory is full

How to switch the camera over to saving pictures directly onto the SD card.
    1. Menu
    2. Cam settings
    3. Chose AUTO or SD card option and Press OK
Note: If the SD card isn't in the camera or is unreadable the camera will automatically go back to saving you taken pictures on the internal memory.

If you still experience problems:
The lever on your SD card might be turned the wrong way so the SD card is reading protective.
Please turn the lever and try again.

The SD card might not be supported by the model: Your camera Memory card support is SD/MMC up to 1 Gigabyte

The SD card might not be faulty, try another card, since the camera could give you a message like the one you're experiencing.
Try with a different SD card that is supported by the camera.
After you having successfully switched over to saving onto the SD card. I would guess that you would like to transferre the pictures from your internal memory over to the SD card.:

My internal memory is full and I can't take picturs.

Put a card in this camera, and copy from the internal memory to the card all the pictures.

Most cameras have an internal menu to allow you to transfer or copy all files to the SD card (if you can copy the files, then copy them and delete all internal files after copy).
This digital camera has an internal memory of 16 megabytes which is a lot. But if the memory is full, it has to be copied, or delete some pictures.
