Frigidaire Affinity washer: Straining water pump? Humming.

Spinning seems OK, but sounds like a separate motor is not working/straining. Could it be water pump making loud humming? How to access/fix it?

it will put water in on certain rinse cycles, would the pump give off a hot smell?

More than likely the pump is clogged if you pull the the washer out away from the wall and then lean it back to get under it there is a hole to access the under side you can reach through to the pump then disconnect the large hose that goes from the tub to pump reach down inside of this hose remove the cup that has debris in it and clear it out remove the debris and reassemble the washer

I have a washer machine, affinity problem about not spinning in final washer

Good Morning Friend, this is Z. I appreciate your post!

From what you have described, it sounds like your washer cannot properly drain and dispose of the water and detergent solution. Does your washer make a humming noise? If so, the drainage hose/pump may be clogged and needs to be cleaned. If not, your appliance may possibly be experiencing an issue with the door lock assembly, faulty pump, timer or control board not communicating correctly. In this case, because it could be a number of any one of several underlying causes, I would recommend contacting a professional to properly diagnose and repair your washer. Best!

My frigidaire LTF6700FSO will not spin

Your symptom sounds like a jammed drain pump. Was it spinning and then stopped before the spin cycle should have ended or did it not begin spinning when it should have?

My Frigidaire Affinity washer stopped working. When i start the cycle it makes a loud humming noise, but no water goes in, and it starts spinning for a few minutes, then the time goes from 1hr, to 3 m

Possible that the inlet valve is faulty. please measure the voltage on the inlet when the washer is switched on , if there is no voltage then the controller is faulty. If voltage is present then the inlet valve has failed.

Frigidaire Affinity Glacier Stackable upright washer. Washer will not agitate and makes a buzzing sound from the pump that extracts water from the drum. Water collects and remains in bottom of washer.

Frigidaire Washer Model #WILL-1 - won't spin or pump out water

Can you access the location of you motor?

try to open the back and unscrew the cover and see if you can see the motor, try to start it but don't get near to much just enought to see if it is moving or not.

if it still running and rotating see the belt maybe it is too loose or maybe it is to tight,

But if it just humming, turn it off and unplug, see if you can rotate the motor with your hand, if you can then you'll need a starting capacitor, you got to buy one and install.

But if it is hard to turn even without a load, then you'll need to bring your motor to a service center to check for the bushing and shafting and lubrication.

your motor winding is still ok since you heard a humming sound, that problem would be the mechanical part.

Motor sounds like it is straining '

When you get a chance, please post the whole model number of your Maytag dishwasher here.
Because you are still getting clean dishes, you probably have debris (a bone or fruit pit) that has gotten down to the pump/impeller or the chopper area.
Remove the lower spray arm, remove the filter/sump assembly and clean everything out. With a flash light, inspect the whole sump area for debris. I bet you will find stuff there (beware of broken glass!) and when you re-assemble, the noise will ne normal.
Good Luck! Please post back what you find, OK?
