I was told that I need to replace my ink pad on my epson stylus RX620 & I am trying to find out how much they are . Is this something my husband could do or can I get A reliable computor man to do this? Thanks LJL

fault is caused by counter, which counts printed pages for reason of possible overflow of waste ink pads. To reset counter a free tool is available under::

make sure to have removed and replaced waste ink pads:

start program, choose printerport which is used for Epson rx620, choose Epson model rx620
close active window of program ssc -> program will be available by icon in right lower corner.
switch on printer
right mouse click on program icon in right lower corner will open options:

choose according to picture

switch off printer / switch on printer

in case of not working at once retry

is both the light blink the same time or blink alternate ? if blink the same time, it's probably a fatal error..
if blink alternately then the waste ink counter need to be reset and the waste ink pad need to be replaced.

You don't need to buy the pad. Just wash with hot water. Is there a message to replace waste ink pad?. You need to reset waste ink counter. Use SSC utility to reset it. Extend outlet pipe to outside. You don't need clean pad again. If you wish to wash or replace pad, you must open case and diasemble all mechanics. Find SSC at indoreset.blogspot.com. And printer diagram at printersiam.com

Waste Ink Pads. They need to be cleaned/replaced and the counter reset. Look at the Ink Waste Container kits here. Get a CISS for your printer. It will save you TONS of MONEY, never change a cartridge again and it will pay for itself in a month.

Hi, if you change wast ink pads it will cost too much.
The best way to resolve this matter is Do it by your self.
You can purcahse wast ink bottle from us then use EPSON reset software to reset wastink pads.
After this done your printer will back to normal.

You have to remember that the pads are designed to be ultra absorbent so it's going to be very difficult to get them to give up their ink unless you have something even more absorbent.

Trying to mop up or syringe out pads is really a bit of a losing proposition in terms of time, effort and ink mess so really the smarter option is to redirect the waste flow (ie: install an external tank) and allow the ink base (ie: water in the RX620) to slowly evaporate off over the course of the printers life..

ink waste is replaced br cleaning it through alcohols

The flashing lights are a "Maintenance request error" or a "Fatal error". Most of the time it is a "Maintenance request error" which means the waste ink pads need to be serviced. You can reset the waste ink counter but the ink pads will need to be serviced at some point.
