We had this problem with a brand new DS Lite...turns out it was a bad charger. If you have access to another charger, try that first. Good luck!

After the battery is fully charged the lite goes out. If the battery is fully charged and you plug the charger in the light will light for a minute or so and go out. Is the DS dead now or is it still working. If its working then leave it on for a while to run the battery down then try the charger again.

I think it still is working because when my DSI was fully charged the charger lite went out ,and when I turned it on it had a full battery so your ds is not dead...

When charging DS lite the light stays orange

The issue is not with the fuses or with the battery. That end is working properly if the light stays a constant orange. The issue is with the other end, how the system powers on. Check the power slider (on mother board) or the L2 inductor (located below the slider). Chances are the tab on the slider has broken off or the L2 slider broke off from the motherboard.

DS is stuck in charge mode when plugged in.

Your DS may have a problem reading the battery gauge, and the DS will only let the charger do its thing for a period of time. Then, if it is still connected, it may burst more charge in. This means that your DS is acting up, and your battery may have a rare (and not harmful to the DS) malfunction.

Ds lite suddenly stopped working

The orange light goes off when the battery has been charged to its highest capacity. After every charge, the batteries capacity is decreased. Get a new battery, that should do it.

Ds power problems

mmm not exactly because if you plug the charger back in it will go orange again, so my guess would be that the ds doesnt stay charged for a long while, you can charge the ds properly when it is shut off but it does needs to be charging at least 8 to 10, you want it to last longer, play a game till the power goes just dnt save anything incase the ds shuts down while saving, otherwise it can corrupt the game and possibly the ds
