"the printing operation has been aborted.
The issue can be caused by a firmware error, invalid print commands, corrupt data, invalid operations, poor quality parallel cables, poor connections or specific applications.

Action :

1> Press Cancel Job to clear the print job from the printer memory.
2> Turn the printer off and then on to clear the error message.
3> Try printing a job from a different software program. If the job prints, go back to the first program and try printing a different file. If the message appears only with a certain software program or print job, contact the software vendor for assistance.

If the above action does not solve the issue, contact HP or authorized service provider."

In the specific Error 49.2F90 is due to a bug in HP firmware. The printer goes on error 49.2F90 when processing file with bad data ..
Try disconnecting the printer from power outlet and connecting it back. Try also the general reset procedure above.
If the error message persists you may need to take printer to service center to reinstall firmware.

In latest firmware upgade bulletin HP says "Corrected situations where a 49.2F90 and 49.2F9C errors
would

occur when using
Secure Fast Erase and Santitize Erase."

The problem is usually corrected resetting the printer .

Hp 4350 printer memery error

Hi guyfr,

This means that the printer is unable to read the electronic information (e-label) on the print cartridge so that the printer can keep track of the page count for the print cartridge.To resolve the issue:

Open the top cover and remove the print cartridge. Then, reinstall it.
This is typically an e-label issue. The printer will continue to print after pressing the green SELECT button. The consumable management features will be lost (such as the gas gauge, cartridge page count, estimated pages remaining, etcetera) and the control panel may report that the printer has a non-HP print cartridge installed; however, the product will continue to print without problem until the toner runs out and the pages begin to fade, then the print cartridge may be replaced as usual.
If this workaround is not acceptable or the error message persists after performing all of the recommended actions, contact an authorized HP Service or Support Provider: http://www.hp.com/go/support

HP LaserJet LJ 4350 locks up when duplexing

Symptom: Your LaserJet 4350 prints just fine until you try to print a double-sided page. Then you see the page start to exit, pull back in, then stop. The Data light continues flashing green, and the display reads, "Processing..." There is no error indication, but the machine won't print the second side and continues to hold the half-printed paper in the duplexer. If you open the top cover and close it again, the printer will eject the page, then try to print the whole thing again, unless you're quick enough to cancel the job first.

Cause: The printer is expecting a different sized paper than what it's running. Often it's not the menu settings, but a little lever in the paper tray itself. Pull out the paper tray you're trying to print from and look for a little blue lever on top of its right-hand side. The lever is labeled "Standard/Custom." Flip it to Standard (parallel to the tray side) and your problem should go away.

Have a hp laserjet 4350 network printer and have select print on both sides check on the printer preferences and in the finisher tabs. but still doesnt not print on both sides.

This would have to be a 4350DN or DTN model to do automatic duplexing. I would make sure you have one of these 2 models. Depending on what driver was loaded the duplex option may show up, but if the printer does not have the duplex option and the associated firmware then it will not duplex automatically.
This is the only thing I have seen that would cause what you are describing.

X PRINTER ERROR A firmware error occurred 1. Press CANCEL JOB to clear the print job from the printer memory. 2. Turn the printer off, and then turn the printer on. 3. Try printing a job from a different software application. If the job prints, go back to the first application and try printing a different file. (If the message only appears with a certain software application or print job, contact the software vendor for assistance.) 4. If the message persists with different software applications and print jobs, disconnect all cables to the printer that connect it to the network or printer. 5. Turn the printer off. 6. Remove all memory DIMMs or third-party DIMMs from the printer. (Do not remove the firmware DIMM in the lowest DIMM slot.) 7. Remove all EIO devices from the printer. 8. Turn the printer on. 9. If the error no longer exists, install each DIMM and EIO device one at a time, making sure to turn the printer off and back on as you install each device. 10. Replace a DIMM or EIO device if you determine that it causes the error. 11. Remember to reconnect all cables that connect the printer to the network or computer. 12. If the error persists, replace the firmware DIMM. 13. Replace the formatter.

This error is usually caused by a bad formatter board

Printer error messsage

attempt to clear the print spool and set the its settings to print directly to the printer. Do a test print, then enable print spooling again. If the same thing happens, uninstall and reinstall the latest printer driver
