Power the laptop off and as soon as it starts posting press "F11" this will access the recovery partition.
After that just follow the on screen prompts that will restore the pc to factory defaults or factory condition, it will say something along those lines. Let me know if this works for you

If you want to make sure that your data is completely removed from the notebook then I suggest you format your hard disk and re-install Windows.
Use a Windows installation CD; it must match the Windows version on
the Windows Product Code label on the bottom of your laptop.
You will also need to download the device drivers for your model laptop

from the LG WEB support site, make sure the download the correct XP
or Vista version of the drivers which matches the Windows version you are installing.

How can I reset my LG X110 netbook to factory specs?

Hi,
Do you have anything on the laptop you need to keep? have you done backed ups of any files etc?

To do a factory restore
Press the F11 key when you turn on the laptop (may have to tap it several times)
Then follow the guided prompts to do a factory restore.

Alternate option to do a factory restore:
Press F8 when you turn on the laptop (may have to tap repeatedly)
a menu should come up
choose repair your computer
then select factory recovery/lg recovery?

Crack bios password on my lg x110 - forgot bios password - can not get factory reset - help please

A password is required for access to the BIOS and I do not know the password. I have had this problem for quite some time now but luckily I've managed to get access to the BIOS now. I used lots of different programs to crack the password but I failed in vain. I removed the little battery that sat on the motherboard but nothing happened, I ran Hirens bootcd 15.1 and it did not help either. Eventually I got hold of a new system BIOS for my LG X110 and then flashed my BIOS. No password is needed now :) Download LG Notebook (X110/XD110) System BIOS here -> http://download.notebook-driver.com/driver/LG/X110/BIOS_Setup_X110.zip and run the program. That should solve your problem, because it did for me :)

Install a program called Everest and identify your wireless device. Google search this device.
Option 2: if you have the XP driver for the device, try a force install. some XP drivers can work in Vista.

I just purchased a display model notebook lg x110. i'd like to do a system restore and wip all the date off - can you help me?

If you reinstall windows, its probably best to format the harddisk. To get started, insert the window cd/dvd into your drive and restart the laptop. While it restarts, tap the "delete" button repeatedly in order to enter bios. there you can set the dvd-drive as the boot-device. Look for a menu called boot or boot-order. exit the bios and save the settings.

the laptop will then restart and boot from the windows cd. The insallation process will start and you will just have to follow the directions =)

hope this was what you were looking for.
