Need to get a TV channel for PVR viewing. It doesnt appear to be TV channel 0: Lost PVR manual: Help!

The Humax PVR-9300T tuner acts like a single tuner PVR with some channels. You can't watch one channel while recording another for those channels. This is given in the manual on page 70 (page 71 of the PDF). I found the link in this Humax forum: https://myhumax.org/forum/topic/9300t-download-instruction-manual . Instructions:



Read instructions carefully before commencing. Software needs to be carried out while the PVR is cold. Go to "Telefix" website and select "Service Guide" or "Download Service Manuals" and download software to a location on the PC Hard Drive.
Unzip file and copy "usb.upg" software onto a blank USB Memory Stick.
Plug USB Stick to USB port of PVR


Connect Power to PVR and switch on so that that the booting process commences.
Press 'Menu' button and scroll left or right by using the arrow buttons to find 'Installation' then press OK to select.
Note: PVR may freeze and not allow selection. Several attempts will be required to enable selection. If problem persists, switch OFF PVR to allow it to cool down then try again or use the alternative method.

Alternative Method



1a. Disconnect mains power.

2a. Plug USB Memory Stick to USB port.

3a. Press and hold the CH down arrow button on the unit and then connect mains power.

4a. When the display starts counting down release channel button and the upgrade interface will appear on screen.


7. Scroll down to 'USB Menu' by using the arrow down button then press 'OK' to select.

8. Scroll down to 'USB Upgrade' by using the arrow down button then press 'OK' to commence software update.

· Note: - Please do not shutdown PVR or remove USB Stick during the update process. When the update is complete the PVR will power down and reboot again as normal.

Once the update has completed, reset the PVR by restoring back to Factory Default.
Press Menu ? Installation ? Factory Default ? enter password 0 0 0 0 ? Select 'Yes' ? press OK to rescan channels.

Check Software Version, Press Menu ? Installation ? Version Info ? OK

So you have HDMI off of the PVR into the TV and AV off of the DVD Player into the PVR at the moment? Just for info what connectors do you have at the back of the tv, dvd and pvr? In's and out's...

sounds like you need to rescan for channels, Should be in settings menu then maybe channels, Normally autoscan or channel update, Also make sure your airiel is good.

Sorry, that model is ANALOG only, no digital reception.

Problem solved by repeatedly (~20 attempts) to make a manual search for channel 28 only. - thanks

You may lose some channels when you retune the TV as the channels have been rearranged. To locate them look at the EPG although you may still find that some channels are no longer available on FREEVIEW. See the following link for additional information

Try this procudure from the manual.

Notes (for TV RATING and MPAA RATING):
● You cannot access the setup menu when the
“PROTECTED PROGRAM by ...” message
appears. Move to an unblocked channel
before you hit [MENU].
● When you select a rating and set it to
[BLOCK], the higher ratings will be blocked
automatically. The lower ratings will be
available for viewing.
● When you set the lowest rating to [VIEW],
all other ratings will automatically be available
for viewing.

I would suggest reloading the machine since it appears the 3.41 is the current software load according to this site:
http://www.digenius.de/Download_mlstr_en
Once you reload the machine attempt to reestablish the channel list by reloading it to.
