Is there a way to buy just a replacement front USB/mic/ear chip for the A-Top Gladiator Gaming case? The chip says BC-179 2005.03.03 Ver: 2.0 ROHS, but when I Googled that info, nothing useful came up.. Any help would be appreciated!

BC-179 is a common or garden transistor, not an actual IC, it has THREE legs, Base, Collector, and Emitter.

Why do you think this is faulty?
Hi
Here you go - the whole case will be cheaper than the controls
79.00 for the entire case is the cheapest way to go as they do not sell the control and that is why the number didn't bring anything - it would be 100,00 most likely - so your getting a deal here.

Here are some more pictures - and the case is sold out here but the pictures are many - so you know what it is - also reading the reviews - I want one of these cases now.

Thanks,
Yes, it's an awesome case, and we just love the accessibility and ease of upgrading/installation. We built it from the bottom up, with only one small issue of the motherboard not being mounted properly at first.. But after having it for only about two months, a wireless mouse USB driver plugged into the front got kicked or stepped on, breaking the plastic insertion guide inside the USB receptacle... I was hoping we could just replace that small chip that held the receptacle, but as you said, I could not find the whole chip. I found replacement receptacles from on a UK website, but we do not have a hot-air soldering station, or whatever soldering set-up is necessary for computer chips.. Maybe I can just buy a receptacle, and take the whole chip to a computer store? The only other option, besides buying a whole new case, might be to just get an external USB hub and set it on the top of the tower so all of our wireless accessories can be used.....
Thanks again for the help,

Yeah, it's not the transistor BC-179; that's the only thing that came up in my searches for the part identifier code printed on a front USB-port chip... Which I know is faulty because it's broken! Lol, it's the silicon board/chip that holds the front USB port, microphone, and earphone inputs on the bottom of the computer case seen at this link:

Thanks anyway,
