Projector has lock panel controls capabilities---
Playing around with controls --- i locked panel then
had to turn it off could not --- so i disconnected ,, also thought it might rest or something
now i cant even turn it on -- i don't have remote

to release the key lock, set the [Key Lock] to [Off] using remote control. Pressing the [RETURN] button on the projector for 10 seconds also sets the [Key Lock] to [Off]

There are two methods to cancel the projector's control
panel lock.
1,Using remote control, -change the "Settings" -
"Operation Lock" in the configuration menu to "Off" .
2,Hold down the projector's [Enter] button continuously
for about 7 seconds, a message will be displayed and the
lock will be cancelled.

If the Panel Key Lock feature was set to 'on' so that the Remote Commander could be used the user manual, page 34, says, "If you press and hold the MENU key for about 10 seconds when the power is on, the lock will be released and "Panel Key Lock" is automatically set to "OFF"." However, if the Security Lock feature was set, which requires a password, and you don't know what the password is you have to call the Sony Customer Service center and be ready with the device's serial number and your personal information.
Turn the projector on and leave in standby mode. To do this press the power on button for 10 seconds until the projector comes on. To unlock the main panel keys, press the MENU button for 10 seconds.

If you loos your remote control then keeping the POWER key on the projector control panel pressed for 10 seconds turns the projector ON when it is in standby mode, and turns the projector to standby mode when the power is on. If you press and hold the MENU key for about10 second when the power is on the lock will be released and "panel key lock" is automatically set to "OFF"
Your projector key panel locked you have two option to operate the projector
1 . Use remote control press MENU the menu window displayed.
use DOWN ARROW key and select SET SETTING.
press ENTER
use DOWN ARROW key to select PANEL KEY LOCK.
press RIGHT ARROW key to OFF the panel key lock
press ENTER and then press MENU key to exit the menu.
now you panel keys are working
2. If you loss your remote control then;
When the key panel lock is ON keeping the power key on the projector key panel pressed for 10 seconds turns the projector ON when it is in standby mode, and turns the projector to standby mode when the power is on. If you keep pressing the MENU key for about 10 seconds when the power is ON, the lock will be released and "panel key lock" is automatically set to OFF.
