Label contents does not print completely

Trying to print a label in a 4 x 6 format but when it prints, it moves the contents to the bottom right corner as if the size of the paper was bigger...it cuts the information and we can't make it print as a whole in the label size...we have tried changing printer settings, using laser printers to make the tests, but nothing seems to work...help

SOURCE: spits out label but cuts words off

Problem is solved by pressing the function key until "margin" comes up. Then press function key again while "margin" is selected. Use the arrow key to select the "###". Then once that is selected press the function key again. That solved the same problem I had. Good Luck :)

SOURCE: Printing accurately

Hi there within the envelopes and labels print function within MS Word you will be able to set the correct label and sizes. If this doesn't work then adjust the margins.

This problem is nothing to do with your printer as you are sending a command to it and the printer is doing what you told it to do. Check the settings first.

Thanks J

SOURCE: Zebra TLP 2844-Z Test page print within Win XP

This printer requires special software to print labels with. It uses a unique PCL language to work with. Thats why when you use these printers with Fedex or UPS software, it typically downloads forms first before working.

Zebra used to see a label designer program to work with it. You might want to check with them to see if they still carry it.

SOURCE: half of the labels information is printing

I'm assuming you mean half is showing up as you go across the label. If that is the case and it's a very clear line where the print is cut off, then check the print width setting through the front panel of the printer. Press SETUP and look for setting called MAX WIDTH. It should be set to 104MM (4") which is the width of the print head. It is set to something smaller if the print is being cutoff.

If the print is fading away as you go across then that it is a print head balance issue. Look at the print head pressure dials on top of the print head assembly to make sure they are set evenly.

Hope that helps !

What are the settings for a TEC b-572 to make it print correctly, I am using win7 drivers

The printer knows nothing at all about labels, and isn't looking for any gap. I think you specified the wrong settings in whatever software you're printing the labels from - something in "Page layout" or "Format" or possibly "Printer Settings". You need to tell the computer software exactly what labels you're using, or exactly what your label specifications are.

Why datamax M class 4208 only prints on one side of the label?

When printing on less than full width media, the printer has a printhead-leveling cam to adjust the right side of the printhead
for even pressure distribution. To adjust the leveling cam:
1. With media loaded in the printer, print a label (press the
FEED + CANCEL buttons simultaneously) and
examine it..
2. While observing the printed labels, loosen the
Thumbscrew and move it to the left most position. (see
Example 1, below).
3. Next, move the Thumbscrew to the right until the
printed labels contain a complete, even image (see
Example 2). Tighten the Thumbscrew.

Not printing correctly

When you go into the software to prepare the label you should see buttons to select whether you want the label formatted from the left, right, or centered. Also, when you type the text onto the label you will probably see dotted lines around the label which can be moved slightly to help you get the print arranged on the label. Hope this helps!

Hi, I have DataMax ST3210, while printing it is instering a blank page randomly. Please advise

Check that your format is centered top and bottom on the stock, and that you have at least 1/8" quiet area top and bottom.
If you are printing on stock with an eye-mark, ensure that your print does not interfere with the area at the eye-mark. The printer will try to print the format, but if the eye-mark is in the way, even if the format is printed completely, will feed a blank label.
The also applys to standard die cut labels. with standard 1/8 die cut between labels

Zebra 160S doesn't print the first 1 o 2 mm of label.

Normal 0 Driver could be corrupt.
Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do both and reinstall the CD software program that came with the printer. When the software program asks you to connect the printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.
Hope this helps. Bud

Label Printing

The printer is not the issue here...That is a great printer BTW.

The issue is which program are you using when trying to print out these labels? Do you have Microsoft Word, Works, or some simular word processor program installed on your computer?

There are free document templates that have all the settings for printing 2 x 4 labels and others. Here is a link for a 4 x 2 tem-late that would work in any version of Word, SureThing CD Labeler and any program that handle PDFs.

http://www.worldlabel.com/autoconfig/autotemplates.asp?finditemnum=ol125

You can take label printing to the next level by using a program that will read in your address book and print each on one label automatically. You don't spend time trying to type them all in.

If yo have MS word, look under HELP for "mail merge", that wil get you on the right track.

Let me know =)

Print Width Issue

the issue you are having is DPI related, when data is sent to the printer and rendered it is dot for dot, so a Z4M 203dpi printer has about 800dots on the printhead where your printer has about 1200dots on the printhead. so when your software prints to dot800 thinking it is the edge of the label it is infact at 60%. there sould be an option in the software to configure around this. if not the is an option in the printer to convert DPI setting ie 150>300 or 100>200 and so on. but i don't thing you can make a 300dpi print as 203dpi

best of luck
