My Acer AX1200 wont log onto windows after it sleeps.

My Acer AX1200 is having trouble after it sleeps. It won't connect to windows and goes into a setting where it asks to automatically find the problem. Last time it said that this won't work and to turn the computer off. Then it wouldn't turn on. Eventually was able to turn it on by holding down power key for 30 seconds (while unplugged), then plugging in. still took a long time to trun on.

Are you sure the password is correct. If the fields are populated automatically and the password was changed at some point, it might be trying to use the old password.

Once i log onto my acer aspire one D255 the screen goes black and it wont even show me the task manager. i have already re booted and shut down

test it in safe mode. if it works, do a restore to a previous working date or last known-good configuration. if you cannot get to the Windows log in at all, reinstall your OS. if nothing shows up on the screen from the time you power it on, test an external display and if it does not work, sounds like your video card is faulty and needs a replacement

Try booting into safe mode first. During boot up press F8 a few times, you should get a safe mode menu to; start windows normal, or safe mode, chose safe mode an see if that will get you logged in.

you have given the memory chip number and not the computer model the chips you have are 533 MHZ DDR so I would suggest you click on start go to my computer right click on properties and it will list the chip set. here is a web page you can go to to see the memory you have.

Wont read any type of disc

1. this is usually due to the laser reader in the CD or DVD drive has failed or the disks are dirty or scratched. or the DVD drive isn't capable of reading the disks at a certain speed and need replacement .
2. of the DVD cable has become disconnected at the motherboard connection.
3.DVD drive may need replacement.

However you can upgrade your powersupply with a higher wattage rating without any problem. Increased wattage power supply does not fry or harm your system. The only thing that you should be careful before you buy the new power supply is its compatibility with the existing cabinet / case that you have.
