Go to MCM.com . You can get a Philips replacement bulb for $99.00. You have to remove it from the holder.

You have a serious problem. The optical block is bad. I have a tip at http://www.fixya.com/support/r7851924-sony_projector_yellow_or_blue_dots which explains the problem and what the solution would be.

Try plugging into another known good wall outlet. if still not standby light then the power board needs replaced.

hello if you go into menu in picture adjustments half way down there should be a reset option this should make the picture brighter

Red and green light flashes then lamp light comes on

If its Sony KF-42SX300 TV then replace lamp in TV,
Lamp replacement procedure is written in instruction manual.
Please buy Sony original lamp for TV safety and avoid aftermarket/ cheaper lamp.

Hello Failrlane.
You have a bad thermal fuse. You must remove the back cover in order to fix this unit. The thermal fuse can be found near the lamp housing. part number for kit: A-1137-954-A
