Steel stick inside Kenmore electric oven

There are two steel sticks inside my Kenmore oven, on the bottom wall, up right corner... One of the sticks is like pulled away, and there's a wire coming from the same place the stick is coming. There's also a piece that seems to get them together (it attaches the stick to the wall) but still don't know what to do with the wire. Since the wire is kind of exposed, I'm afraid to use the oven but cannot figure how to repair this, knowing where and how the wire should be... Any clue on this?
I'm also not so sure my oven is a Kenmore 30169 model. Could be another model, but I can't tell. It simply doesn't show the serial anywhere...

The oven was working fine, at least till the last day I used it, like a week ago... Somehow I noticed today that these "sticks" (Yes, they are the sensors. After writing my problem I did some Internet search) are slack, and one of them has a wire coming from the bottom of the oven. This wire is also like badly tied up, like if somebody had tried to repair it (or to hide the fact that the sensors are loose). Because of that, I'm afraid to get the oven to work. Probably nothing happens, but then I can't tell if the probe is really working to regulate temperature.

By the way, I found the oven model: Kenmore 9114028813.

EW30EW65SS Stainless Steel smells like burning electrical

Hello purrpplee - If the smell is coming out of the oven vent, more than likely it is something inside the oven that is creating the odor. Also, keep in mind that new cooking products can create a burning electrical odor when the bake and broil cycles are used as any residual coating or film on the oven liner and elements burns off. However, if odor increases consult a professional for an accurate diagnosis.

How can we clean the baked on food from the oven racks and rack holders? Stainless steel cleaner does not touch it.

To clean the stainless steel without marking it you can first try non-caustic oven cleaner, if you use normal oven cleaner the acid in the cleaner will etch "eat" the surface of the stainless steel

Bottom oven on my cooker has stopped working, it trips the electric after 7 mins running but the top oven is fine why

hi there the most likely cause for this is the element going into a fault condition as it warms up and expands your best bet is to replace the element which isnt that hard to do yourself, you might also want to check that the fan is spinning freely as it may stick and overload

278.4088891 Kenmore wall oven. The display goes black

Hi

Sounds like the "display" part of the timer is faulty or has a bad connection. As the cooker still heats up then the "relay" is working ok.

A replacement timer will be roughly £70 - £80

Hope this helps

Probe and sensors sticking too far out

Yes the probes can stick out from the back oven walls. They look like thin pencils about 6" long. They should NOT be loose. The probes are your temperature sensors. If they become damaged your oven may not work. The probes are generally high up on the wall and to one side...about an inch or so down from the top...and the same from the side. They should be horizontal and not bent at an angle. Some probes run along the side of the oven wall and do not protrude into the baking area. In general the probes (whatever type) should not really interfere with the baking zone

Frigdaire wall oven fault code 3

The temp witch is at the back of the oven when you look inside. At first glance It looks like around piece of metal sticking out of the back of the oven. sually secured with two stainless steel screws. For the stand alone the connections are is usually accessed from the back after taking off the back panel.

Disconnect power from the stove before opening the back

Kenmore oven

Is this an electronic control oven...touch pads to set temp? May have a bad ERC. Electronic Range Control. Also check oven sensor. This is steel rod in oven in back wall near top on left or right. Check ohms from the rear where it connects to harness. Disconnect at harness and measure resistance of sensor. Most are around 1.1k.
