When I turn my Olympus FE-190 digital camera on,

When I turn on my Olympus FE-190 digital camera, the lens moves out and then back in three times, then automatically shuts off. The battery is fully charged and the disk is empty. What's happening? I have had this camera for 3 years and have had no problems with it until now.

Olympus fe-190 camera, keep getting message lens error, restart camera, also monitor is grainy and fuzzy, unable to take crisp, clear pictures, and make strange sound...

The problem you are describing is a problem with a sensor in the lens assembly. It seems to have failed and needs to be replaced. Following are the instructions to send your camera to Olympus for service.

http://olympusamerica.com/cpg_section/cpg_servicerepair.asp

Olympus will charge a flat rate repair fee for this product if beyond the one year factory warranty or the warranty is voided. The cost is $80.85 plus your local sales tax. This covers parts and labor, factory cleaning and diagnostic check, 6 month warranty and the cost of shipping the product back to you is all included in that price.

Olympus FE-190 lense

If the internal lens barrel gets knocked out of alignment it will cause that condition. If the camera senses that the lens is not in the proper position or not moving, it will turn back off rather than cause more damage. Pushing on the lens barrel to try to fix it will usually cause more problems than it already has. It has to be disassembled to be repaired.

at this point you may also want to check on your warranty status.

I need the drivers for my fe-190 digital camera can you help

Hi,

There are no drivers needed for the Olympus FE-190. Once connected through its USB, the computer will treat it as a USB mass storage device similar to a removable /flash drive.

If for some reason the PC won't recognize the camera, it is probably a problem with the USB cord, the USB port or the memory of the camera.

Alternately, you can use a memory card reader and slip in the memory card of the camera to gain access to the content/pictures.

Hope this be of some help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.
