Can get wireless to work but can't connect to internet

I recently received a new msi wind netbook with wireless LAN. I am able to get the wirelss function to work. It tells me the signal strength is excellent and status is 'connected'. Yet, for some reason I am still unable to get online. Everytime I try to access internet explorer browser I get the message 'cannot display the webpage'. How the heck do I get online?? Thanks for any help.

if you look in device manager under network and check if your wireless card has any problems.If you have restored your laptop you may need drivers installing.

Hi there,

Have you tried pressing the Fn and the F11 key at the same time? this allows you to turn on and off the wireless...chances are it was disabled by default.

How do i activate the wireless connection on my daughter msi u100 435uk netbook as it won,t come on after ste used a pay as you go dongle when staying with friends who had no internet
go intocontrol paneland select add/remove programs or programs and features and find the payg dongle software and uninstall it then restart the netbook that should remove the dialup connection and allow you to connect back to your wireless.

Can't get onto the internet wirelessly
Check you have the latest Wireless drivers:
http://www.msi.com/index.php?func=nbdriver&maincat_no=135&prod_no=1474

There are issues with this netbooks poor drivers..

Install and try again (ensure that you have enabled the wireless)

If there's a local WiFi connection, it happens automatically. If you don't have local WiFi and a login and password, then you can't connect to the internet.

How do u turn off the bluetooth on the msi wind netbook
Press【Fn 】+ 【F11】for Bluetooth \ WLan functions

I believe that the number of times you press the FN+F11 button, these would be the results. I hope this helps you.

Slow Internet Connect
i have the same router. I recommend that you download a new driver of your lan card for your desktop pc, also if you have P2P and bittorrent applications, try to disable them first and see the difference, those programs slow down the your internet, because they hog your bandwidth and connects to multiple users.

Can't get it to connect to wireless
From User manual you can download from HERE:

1) activate your WLAN :
Press and hold the Fn button, and then press the F11 button
repeatedly to enable or disable the Wireless LAN or Bluetooth function recurrently.
2) Check if "Wireless LAN LED indicator glows green when Wireless LAN function is enabled."
3 ) Use Windows to configure your Wlan.
