Just got the V9, do all the right things to activate BT, but light not on although icon shows on screen, cannot locate others and they cannot see V9
Most Bluetooth headset manuals mislead the consumer. The text says press the ON button until the blue light comes on. The text should say: "Press the ON button--and keep pressing--until the blue light comes on, and stays on (this can take up to ten seconds or more, be patient). Don't quit pressing just because the light flickers.
My suggestion:
First take your BT device (Not the phone), and hold down the pwr button until the light stays on constant (this is "find me" mode for most BT devices like headsets).
Next on your V9 goto your Settings/Connections & select Bluetooth, then scroll righ (or select options) to search for your device.
Once your device shows up in the screen selct it by hitting the center of the nav key and it will ask for a passkey wich is normaly "0000".
You should then be paired.

Hi, same problem.
My device shows the BT symbol on the screen but will not detect any other phones, computers or printers. Also I cannot find my phone when looking for it. the find me is turned to ON.
I've tried the Solutions but the pressing the button does not do anything.
My XP does not recognise my Motorola V9 through bluetooth. I tried everything. Any idea?
