Camera shuts off after taking one picture and put in new batteries.

Use alkiline, or the type battery your camera asked for
Put them in correctly.

problem with the focousing system/flash unit,chaque the both systems

remove the batteries and clean the battery contacts in the camera with the eraser end of a common pencil. then insert the batteries again.

It could be that you have the auto power off set to a short time like a minute

Make sure the batteries are not rechargeable and that they are fresh. If the problem reoccurs, remove batteries and reinsert after about 15 minutes.

Thanks for your prompt reply. The problem has been solved!!!! I put in new batteries and the camera is functioning normally.!!!!!!! It seems the batteries in the camera were old ones and not fully charged. I think its safer to put in new batteries than to use recharged ones !!!!!!

i had that problem with another camera i toggled with the lens it went in and works like a charm. Dont be to gentile it will go in

Make sure you have the internal menu for the battery selection correct.
Choosing the wrong battery may cause this.

Rechargeable batteries and alkaline batteries are not the same.

This may also be a condition and problem caused by the camera itself, and may need repair.

I have the same camera & personally, I hate it. My camera does that all the time, sometimes, it takes a while for the picture to actually take. Try holding down the button for a while, that's what I have to do with mine. The camera sucks up all the battery energy with only a few picture takes which I really don't understand. I think that's also why it's cutting off while you're using it. Does the phrase, "Warning: Batteries exhausted" sound familar, especially right before the camera shuts off? Oh, & before I go, my personal advice to you is: Get a new camera. I don't even know why I bought mine, soon I'm getting a new one. Yay. I hope this helped you, sorry about the camera problems.
