My Delonghi DE60PYROS needs a new thermostat, are

My Delonghi DE60PYROS shows a code 30F0 - Manual says this means 'Oven Temperature Sensor' broken. I cannot get a service call for more than 10 days. Service agent says this code means the thermostat is broken. I can get the part and my oven is out of warranty, is it possible to replace the thermostat myself.

Thanks Silverdragon for the advice. Replaced the thermostat and turned power on, display flashed as normal for a few seconds then error code 30F0 came straight back. Any thoughts on what could cause this.

Dear Delonghi Master
I have a Delonghi Cual Fule Cook D906GWF. The service manual doesn't even touch upon replacement of the thermostat. I have the part but after taking off the back of the stove, can't find it. I have traced the sensor to the side of the oven which has so far been impossible to remove. Can you provide more definitive instructions please - starting with "where the heck is the thermostat?" Thanks

Sorry, I've had no luck so far. I tried the part supplier and Delonghi. Delonghi would only speak to an electrician and my dad is an electrician. All the same, they haven't got back to me, though said they would. I'm at a loss as what to do now. If you get anywhere, please let me know and visa versa. Jennifer

The Teka HL890 oven did not heat up and had the words (5h:0) appeared.

The error message "5h:0" on a Teka HL890 oven indicates that the oven is in demo mode. F3 error message

HELLO.

When "F3" error code flashes, a small part known as the oven temperature sensor has encountered an error and fails to work anymore.the error means that a circuit has been exposed or broken.

THE DETAILED SOLUTION IS GIVEN BELOW.

A new oven sensor needs to be purchased. They can be found at many local repair shops or online at websites like Parts Wizard.

Check the current warranty on your oven. The sensor may be covered under your warranty, and if that is still active, you can receive free repair and replacement from the producer.

Use a manual guide from your exact oven to find the location of the oven temperature sensor. Make sure your oven is off and unplugged before attempting to install the sensor. If uncomfortable, you can hire a repair person to install the part.

Thanks.

The temperature inside the owen is wrong, when display show for exanmple 225 c but a controll check with an external meter shows only 170-175c the differens is also changing so its not konstant but...

In an oven the thermostat and the sensor are generally one unit. The sesnor/probe is located in the oven. Most of these are not adjustable. Sounds like you need to replace the thermostat.

F2 during bake means a temperature of over 630 deg has been reached
F3 means shorted oven temperature sensor

What does an F3 trouble code mean? We were using the self-cleaning feature when this came on. We were cleaning it because we thought it might help the thermostat, which has been keeping the oven running...

Hi, F3 code means Shorted or open oven temperature sensor (RTD)
Solution Check sensor harness and harness connection between oven sensor and oven control. Replace oven temperature sensor (RTD) if wiring is ok.

I am looking for a manual for an electric oven,

The owners manual is here: http://shared.whirlpoolcorp.com/assets/pdfs/literature/59F-5TXW.pdf

Fault codes:
F2 Oven too hot Check oven temperature sensor F3 F4 Open or shorted oven temperature sensor Replace

New Sensor is here:
http://www.appliancepartspros.com/part_details.aspx?part_id=4009009

Low price too!

The F2 will appear because the sensor is not controlling the temp so the high limit thermostat is being tripped.

Thanks for using FixYa.

Onen display shows f3

The F3 error code relates to the oven temperature sensor and usually means this has failed and needs to be replaced.

It is a reasonably straightforward job, details of which you can find here; www.fixitnow.com/2003/02/appliance-tip-of-the-day-oven-temperature.htm

Says f1

F1 error code usually means that the oven temperature has exceeded 590 degrees. Usually this means that the oven temperature contol sensor ( or thermostat) has failed allowing the heating element to overheat the oven.

To correct this you will need to fit a new sensor. Sometimes the error code can mean a temporary glitch which may be cured by turning off the power for 30 mins and then resetting but if the problem persists then a new sensor is the answer.
