My W850i will not charge.It is totally dead will not start up.The fault began when battery was very low then went to charge it and it went dead.Then when charger was plugged in the red light flashed at the on/off switch so unplugged charger and plugged it in again and steady red light at on off switch but still not charging?The battery is 1 month old. Any ideas? Thanx ..steve

I went paintballinng with a couple of friends and their was this muddy wet ditch that i fell in and i had my phone in my pocket. sent it away for repairs and my phone wouldnt turn on so the woman plugged the charger in and it turned on. then as i exited the shop it was a blank screen and wouldnt turn off so i jus took the battery out. now i got home and plugged it in and it has a red light above the on/off button and wont let me turn my phone on, help plzzz?:\

When it is red light of death, it either means the bootloader of the phone is faulty (after uploading dodgy firmware updates), or the battery is too empty to start-up, let alone display charging progress. In your case you need to leave the phone charging even with the red light flashing and it will be fine. Give it a few hours connected to the charger.

Replace your battery. It's dead I feel. You can try to fully charge it up but if you had to replace the fluid in the battery it does not sound good. Make sure your battery cables are tight and clean on both ends.
Get your battery charged and get it tested. The steering wheel fault is generated usually when low battery power occurs, and once restored, and car is driven a few feet,it clears itself..
Starting with the battery light, the warning light means the alternator is not charging the battery. It could be a faulty alternator, or a problem with the wiring between the battery and the alternator. Normally you can drive a vehicle for several miles on the battery alone. If you have charged the battery and it checks out ok, you would need to check the wiring from the battery to the alternator and to the fuse box for problems.
Well to be3 a 100% about the battery I would replace it with one that you know or is guaranteed to work. Camera batteries can look OK from outside and be completely collapsed inside.
No Charge lights can indicate NO battery and if there is one inside then it is dead and registers as a no battery ( no charge light)
The red light blinks in very low state, but totally discharged it will not blink and wont blink again until loeft on chareger for about 3-4 hrs to overcome the low state.
not to worry this is a fixable problem..............take te phone to a mobile shop and have them reflash the firmware n custom pack back into the phone and this will correct the problem....the erom needs to be loaded back on the phone.
You'd better charge it... By the way, Li-ion batteries should not be drained completely. They will live more if you don't let your phone completely drain the battery before recharging it.
