Motorola Razr V3 won't boot up. Is all data lost?

3 year old Motorola Razr V3 cell phone was acting up for about a week. Slow to connect to Sprint. Finally, stopped altogether and would only get - HelloMoto. Now the screen won't even light up. Had some very imprortant numbers on the phone along with some photos. Sprint store says all is lost and I need a new phone. Is this true or are they just trying to sell me a new phone?

I've got a Motorola RAZR 3 or 4 years old. I just bought a new car with Bluetooth (Ford Sync). How do I get the car to recognize the phone?

In order to make other devices see your motorola mobile phone, you should enable "discovery mode", which is activated in Bluetooth menu of your phone.
Please be aware that this feature is turning on only for 3 minutes, then new devices won't be able to find your cell phone. If 3 minutes is not enough, you can activate this feature again (and again).
This procedure is only required for initial pairing, there is no need to perform this operation every time.
Hope this helps!

Lost unlock code

Depending on how many modifications, hacks, or customizations that you perform on your Motorola RAZR V3 phone, there may be situations where the phone becomes unusable or completely locks up. I have had visitors to the site report not being able to delete ring tones, text messages, or have other strange behaviors with their Motorola RAZR V3 phone.

If this is you situation, then you may be interested in performing a master reset (or “hard reset”) on your phone. The master reset will effectively restore your phone back to the factory condition, inclusive of all settings. Be warned, any data that you have not backed up, photos you have not transferred, calendar settings, or messages you have not saved will be lost! Make sure you do this first, if possible!

Here is how you perform a Master Reset on the Motorola RAZR V3:
1. Open your phone up and go to “Settings”
2. Next go to the selection for “Initial Setup”
3. Next go to the selection for “Master Clear”
4. Then select to confirm the option.
5. Now enter the security code which should be “000000”
6. Finally press select or ok and the phone will reset itself to the factory condition

Congratulation you have performed a “hard reset”, “hard reboot”, or “master reset” on your Motorola V3 RAZR and it should return to normal operating mode!
