95 suburban, ignition locks, can't turn key,

Ignition locks up, can't turn key, steering wheel or shifter. This is the forth time this has happened. Have replaced the key (ignition) tumblers 4 times and the ignition module in the column twice. The last time was 2 months ago before tonight.

Remove the lower steering column cover and check to see if the rod from the ign. lock and tumbler to the ignition switch is binding up. If it's ok, you're problem may be the bearing under the steering wheel being broken.

I have a 95 camaro, I put the key in ignition and it will not turn the ignition. It's like it's stuck. Replaced the ignition module and still cannot turn ignition. Help!

the ignition module (ignition switch on top of the steering column) normally doesn't get stuck.

things you can try:
steering wheel lock: (the pin gets a "burr" on it and locks everything up) wiggle steering wheel back and forth while trying to turn key.

transmission lock (parking on an incline will jam up the interlock)
push the shifter farther into park while trying to turn the key, or wiggle shifter

Turned steering wheel after powering off cuz I am parked on a hill...it locked up and now the ignition is locked too...how can I start the car?

your steering wheel lock is connected to ignition in column, pull hard on steering wheel in direction wheels are turned at the same time turn key, this should free them both up.

I got a 2000 saturn sl the ignition locked on it don't know how to take it off will u tell me how

Well first you should put the key in the ignition and try turning the steering wheel back and forth while trying to turn the key. Next try moving the gear shifter back and forth while turning the ignition. sometimes they will inhibit the ignition from unlocking.

Cannot get key to turn in jeep. Have already driven it numerous times today, suddenly can't move steering wheel or gear shift and key will not turn. Help!

Try turning the steering wheel (hard) right and left while turning the key. Steering lock , and ignition lock work in conjunction with each other.

Cant get my key out of the ignition of my 95 Deville

Keys and Locks when worn will do this as will duplicate keys made not so perfectly. While keeping mild pressure on the key in the direction of removal, jiggle the steering wheel back and forth vigorisly. If you cannot get the shifter into park in oreder to remove the key, same deal, jiggle rapidly. Then see a lock smith

Good Luck!
