Why am i not getting through with my mails when im on yahoo messanger, its saying im on another device , if im on yahoo messenger, im not getting through with chat

Try this,... install latest yahoo messanger from http://in.messenger.yahoo.com/download/
install. then login to yahoo messanger ; then click mail. you can able to get the your yahoo mails.

Yahoo mail has chat activated and that's why Yahoo Messanger logs you out because you cannot have two instances of it running. To fix this, on Yahoo Mail screen, under Chat & Mobile Text, select Sign out of Chat and it will show I'm Offline. In this way it won't kick you out of Yahoo Messenger anymore.

There could be a few reasons for this, does anyone else have your Yahoo username and password and is logging in on another device??? also, there is a messenger area on the side of some yahoo mail inboxes which can automatically log you into yahoo messenger when you check your mail, and this of course will log you out of your main yahoo messenger, but ethier way check and double check, because if its saying this there is something else logging into your messenger, Do you have Yahoo multi id?? if so it could be that - my advice keep checking all options.
Make sure you cancel your web.yahoo messenger inside you mail, its on the left hand side of your screen, each time you sign into your email, it automatically sign you into messenger too, but you can eave it that way if you prefer working on yahoo mail and yahoo messenger all in the same page, but if not, you can cancel it there..
You can only have one yahoo "Instant message capable" program open at one time. So if you move from Messenger to mail or chat you will get this message. If you want to have Yahoo Mail open with another Yahoo IM program you will have to set your status to "offline" in MAIL by using the dropbox next to your name ( all new mail) select "sign out of chat" In Classic mail its located in the Inbox. Your online chat contacts will vacate the inbox until you make yourself "Available" again. Yahoo classifies - Messenger - Mail - webmessenger - my yahoo - mobile phones - computers etc etc as different computers or devices - hence the confusion.
