Need to replace the light switch in my bathroom.

I need to replace the light switch in my bathroom. The faceplate is metal, and the switch doesn't show a grounding screw (leviton 01451-W). The replacement switch I found has a grounding screw (levinton 01451-2W. Are these equivalent switches?

Tying into existing groundless knob and tube to run a couple fixtures and one outlet. Grounds?

Being as it is in the bathroom, there should be a cold-water metal pipe near. Attach a green conductor using an approved ground clamp. Run the wire to the outlet you want to ground. Attach to the box (if metal) then attach to the receptacle. If you can't get a ground installed as described, you could protect all the items (ceiling light and light over the sink) with the GFCI. All you need to do is feed the two items from the load side of the GFCI instead of the line side. This provides "people" protection as the GFCI function does not require a ground to detect the imbalance between the "hot" and the "neutral". This does not provide "equipment" protection.

Hi i have a problem with my clarion dfz675mc the lights are not working the volume when i turn it louder is not working they only work when i push the face of the radio inwords and then when i let go the...

this deck has a detachable faceplate right? what you need to do is take the faceplate off and you will find 6-12 gold pins or strips of metal, you need to take rubbing alcohol and a q-tip and clean the contacts on the faceplate and on the deck side, also if the metal strips are only mounted on one side you can take a sewing needle and bend them out slightly, not too much because you could break them off though, if this helped you, please leave posative feedback thanks :)

I need help hooking up my bathroom fan and light i have three wires going to the bathroom fan and light white black and ground i want a swith to turn off the bathroom light one to run the light to the fan...

Right now a single switch turns on both light and fan.
You want to put in a double switch to control light and fan separately.

But the problem is there is not a separate wire to each the light and fan.
You need a separate wire to each, but the circuit wasn't wired that way.
Usually when the circuit is wired for separate control, there is a red wire that also goes to ceiling box.

Unless you run another wire to the ceiling box, it won't be possible to control light and fan separately.

Electrician can do this pretty easily if there is attic space above bathroom.

The face plate does not light up anymore on my Jenson CS2010X so I can't see the stations. How to fix this?

You might not be able to fix this problem. But first, here is a sugestion you can try. Remove the faceplate and inspect the metal contacts on both the deck and the faceplate. Each contact operates a different function of the radio such as providing power to illuminate the faceplate. Make sure no contacts have been broken, pushed in, or have corrosion. Once they all look good, replace the faceplate and see if it lights up. If not, its an internal problem with the unit and should be professionally repaired or replaced.

Need to replace the light switch in my bathroom.

If the switch has only two terminals besides the ground, then yes, they are equivalent. BUT, do you have a ground wire? If this is an old house without a ground wire you have been lucky with the metal faceplate, especially in the bathroom. The new switch is no more dangerous without a ground wire than the old one was, but there is a reason they put that ground lug on there. If you don't have a ground wire, get a plastic faceplate.

Wiring motion sensor for bathroom lights SL-6107-WH need to know what color ires are? BLK,Brn,Red,Grn

OK .. this sounds european .. but as I understand it ,,, the black would be power connection .. the brown would be neutral connection .. and the red would dgo to the light being controlled .. the green always connects to everything metal

If there is no neutral wire in your switch box to connect to ,,. then you will need to get a dimmer that does not require a neutral connection.

Pioneer deq 7600 display went black today the eq works fine.

the faceplate contacts may need to be cleaned. remove the faceplate, and using an eraser, clean the metal tabs on the main unit and rear of the faceplate.
If this doesnt remedy the problem, service is required. May be the light unit in the faceplate.
