I believe the software is acer crystal eye. it is off your program menu.

On my Acer Aspire 5534, up above the keys there are 2 buttons that are side by side. one is to turn the wireless off and on and the other one is to turn the mouse pad off and on.

Pressing F12 when the computer starts should take you to a boot menu so you can boot to your Cd.

click start menu, click all programs, look for Acer and click on it. Then click Acer E recovery. in a few seconds a window will come up. click the restore option in the left hand menu. You can restore to factory condition or restore windows and save your data. its all pretty much there in front of u. hope it helps u
