How to set channels to be thesame on all motorola xtn series radios

Here is a link to the user guide for the XTN style radio. http://www.123radios.com/manuals/xtnmanual.pdf

Programming instructions begin on page 18. You will need to set the frequency and interference eliminator code (PL code) the same on all the radios.

When you enter programming mode, you can use the menu button to walk you through the various options you can program.

Xtn series won't transmit through remote microphone

Here are a handful of problems you might be having:

1) Be certain the radio is turned OFF when plugging in an audio device.
2) Be certain the remote mic is plugged all the way in, until you feel a slight click.
3) Your accessory jack could be wobbled or worn from plugging and unplugging chargers/audio devices. If so, the radio would need repair.
4) Your remote mic is not working. Try it on another unit to confirm.
5) Or the remote mic is not the one designed to go with the XTN radio.

Best regards.

I HAVE A OLD XV1100 THAT I WANT TO PROGRAM TO MY RDV2020 RADIO IS IT POSSIBLE.

Yes. First you will need to know what is programmed in your newer RDV2020, both the frequency and PL code. Using the instructions in the XTN series user guide you can reprogram your XV1100 to match your RDV2020. If you are uncertain how your RDV2020 is programmed, contact your local Motorola dealer or the vendor who you purchased the unit from.

Here is the link to the XTN series user guide. See programming instructions beginning on page 18.

How do i unlock my two way so i can scan and pick channels

The scan function on an XTN is not to be a scanner, but to scan between channels you have programmed into the radio. The scan feature is only available on the 2600 series. You can manually go to each channel and look for or listen for channel activity. Start with channel 1, when someone else is talking, there is a "busy" indication on the LCD on the radio. You can listen in by pressing the Monitor button. If you are using the factory defaults, you may hear someone without pressing the Monitor button.

Can i Program My Motorola XV100 (XTN series) To be a sanner??

No, your XV1100 is a one channel radio with a particular list of frequencies available. It can only do one frequency at a time. Sorry.

Motorla Xtn446 - Kenwood Protalk Dosent Transmit

One or both of your radios have PL ( aka private line, tone code, interference eliminators) activated. Here is a link to a link which contains the XTN446 manual(s). Click on the "support" tab to see the list: http://www.motorola.com/Business/XU-EN/Business+Product+and+Services/Unlicensed+Two+Way+Business+Radios/XTR446_XU-EN

First I would try setting the radio's CODE to off (usually zero) and see if that solves the problem. Otherwise, you'll either need to experiment, or find a user guide for the Kenwood. (You could try posting in the Kenwood forum.)

No user manual for the RDV2080d

Here is a link to the programming software http://www.radioserviceincorporated.com/files/1935423/uploaded/RDX_Series_CPS_R01-00.zip

And here is a link to the user guide http://www.astracomm.com/media/pdf/RDX_Display.pdf

The RDV2080 VHF with display would be compatible with the XTN series radios which have a model name starting with XV, as in VHF. Typically the RDV2080 ships on the default frequencies found in the XV2600. So if you have not changed your XTN frequencies/PL code they may match out of the box.

On a sidenote: The Motorola CP110 VHF is also compatible. It is an industrial version of the RDX radio. It has a few more channel capability and a replaceable antenna. It looks just like the RDX models, and it is the replacement radio for the CP100 and/or XTN.

All of the above mentioned models are repairable.
