Olympus camera fe 240

I took some photos on the camera without the memory card. The photos can only be viewed when the memory card is not in the camera. How do I transfer the photos to the memory card?

You can transfer the photos directly from the camera to the PC using the USB cable that came with the camera. You don't need to transfer the pics to memory card first.

Connect the cable to the camera and the PC. Turn on the camera and your PC will recognise it as an external storage device. Use the PC's software to transfer the photos from camera to PC.

Once you have the pics on the PC you can use the Olympus Master software included with the camera to edit and archive the photos on the PC.

Why does my Olympus FE-210 says ' Card full' on the screen ?

Usually because the memory card in the camera is full and cannot record any more photos. You have to insert a new memory card, or delete some photos from the current inserted card.

I have a window7 notebook i want to download photos from my olympus fe where do i start

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use Windows Photo Gallery or any other photo cataloging program.

Need battery cover fo FE-240 Olympus Digital Camera

Unfortunately there are no parts that can be purchased directly by a consumer for this camera. The camera would need to be sent to an Olympus repair facility for service.

http://olympusamerica.com/cpg_section/cpg_servicerepair.asp

Olympus will charge a flat rate repair fee for this product if beyond the one year factory warranty or the warranty is voided. The cost is $83.85 plus your local sales tax. This covers parts and labor, factory cleaning and diagnostic check, 6 month warranty and the cost of shipping the product back to you is all included in that price.

Memory card

Hello Sir

  • Insert your memory card into your computer's reader if you have one. If not, you can purchase a multi-format USB Memory Card reader from Amazon.com or Buy.com
  • 2 Open up 'My Computer'. You should see it under the list of available drives.
  • 3 Check its contents first to make sure that you have the right drive.
  • 4 In 'My Computer', right-click on the drive and choose 'Format'.
  • 5 Leave all the options as they are and click on 'Start'. This is a non-reversible process so make sure this is what you truly wanted to do in the first place.
  • 6 Once the process is completed, take the memory card out and insert it into your Digital Camera or any other device. Try to browse to it to make sure it works fine now.

    X-D picture error message.

Well, you can try to recover it using recovery software, but you are out of luck, it seems Olympus have some issue with memory card slot in FE model, I have FE280 and it happened to me three times already and I call the support they are no help what so ever. Answer they provide is format the card.

you can try to recover it using memory card reader, but you have to find one that support Xd slot.

Sorry to hear that you have that problem, take as lesson learn and don't buy Olympus.
