When I turn on the tv, the power light comes (you can hear normal click sound), then immediately following it, nothing - no picture.
Before this occured a day before, I was watching tv, the screen blinked, then a few seconds later, it went off. Turned off the tv, waited a few minutes, turned it back on and everything was fine. Did it again, repeated the steps. Now, nothing, just the power light comes and nothing, however, if I do press the channel button up, I can hear sound but no picture, but when I put it back on the channel 3, because I have a dish, no sound or picture. Any suggestions...

i have the same thing but what i do is unplug the tv and plug again till i hear a click then replug immediately and wait for the tv to come on .this is normally a symptom of a weak surge protector in the back, inside of the tv.it is normally not an expensive repair and better still if the tv is still on gaurantee it should cost nothing.
The real deal here is the protection circuit has activated. This is
caused whenever an excessive amount of current is being drawn from the
main power supply. Upon detection of same, it immediately takes over
the power management of the set and shuts it down. The clicking sound
you hear is the ON relay turning on the set, but immediately the power
mangement system shuts it OFF. You should hear two clicks, but they
may be so close together that it sounds like one click.
This set is getting rather ancient and I would not recommend you spend
much money on it for this reason: It is highly likely that once the
set if repaired that another failure would occur. This is because of
the law of averages; the first failure is often followed by another
failure from anywhere within the set.
most times then not it's the capacitors on your power board that blew there for not supplying the tv with enough power if you open it up and check the capacitors it should be leaking some kind of liquid or the tops have bubbled up. its an easy fix cost>>2 dollars each
Should have been 3300 UF 10V caps that were bad? Shouls have been replaced with 3300UF 18V. 50V is huge. If it was replaced with a 50 the polarity may be wrong or the cap it too big to be seated property. Sometimes the caps just dry out and even a normal looking one will be the culprit of no OSD. Are you getting an LED fault code blinking? That should be a red led. Do you hear the relay clicking.? When you replaced the caps did you charge them? Just plugging in the set without trying to power it on for about 20-30 mins. I may be able to help you
I need to know how long do you have the tv?In the other word, approx. how many hours you have put into it? Secondly, did you wall mounted the tv or setting it close the the area which there is not much room for the back of your tv to breath? solutiondoct
