I am trying to aquire a user manual for a wd25001032 can anybody please help me.

Try Western Digital's website.

Get online and got to www.google.com In the google search box type: "Western Digital Support" (without the quotes and put your manufacturer name before Support). Look for downloads and drivers. Enter your model number and operating system when requested. Look for manuals throughout the site.

I need to know the GB capacity of: Western Digital MY BOOK ESSENTIAL External Hard Drive WD25001032-001

click start click on computer to open you should see all of your drives C: usually your hard drive
D: usualy your cd/dvd drive your drive might be listed as E: or F:
right click on it select properties you will see the ammount of space and the ammount of spaced used

Mine needed a new power cord. Then it worked fine.

What voltage and amperage the western digital wd25001032-001 will work. I lost the original power supply and need replacement.

Mine has a 12V 4A power supply. This is not generally available as a generic replacement, due to the high current required. Good luck!

If you can procure it you need a "Wattac" AC adapter
model: BAO362ZI-8-A01 (made in China)

Otherwise you need a 12 volt 2 Amp. power pack with positive on centre contact & 2mm pin hole.
