I have Insignia ns-p42q-10a tv, there is a loud hum when the volume is on when you mute the volume it goes away? Any suggestions?

If you are using a cablebox, try adjusting the audio settings in the cablebox menu. I've seen this alot when the cablebox audio is low due to these settings. If you are turning up the volume past half way to hear it well, this is most likely the problem. I hope this was of some assistance.

Check other inputs AVI, HDMI,,

do you here the hum on all inputs?

The hum maybe from a bad ground loop,, unplug all pluged in inputs, [dvd, games, radio, ect] <--check for hum.

If the hum is gone, plug inputs back in one at a time and test,,

When you find the source of the hum, go get a ground loop isolator to fix.

Does my insignia ns-p501q-10a have a usb port?

Looking at the manual for the NS-P501-10Q from the product site, http://www.insigniaproducts.com/products/televisions/NS-P501Q-10A.html , the TV has a USB port labeled "Service" on the back above the other input ports and on the left side of the input/output area. Unfortunately, I don't think it will provide enough power for an Amazon Fire stick. It's for updating the firmware on the TV with a data file on a small flash drive.

I'd suggest using an appropriate USB wall charger to power the Fire stick.

I hope this helps.

NS-LDVD32Q-10A buzzing noise

Try another input and another source such as a DVD player. If you still get the buzzing sound, you could have a faulty power supply output or a fault in the audio circuit of the main board.

My insignia plasma model ns-p42q-10a screen went black with sound. Now it has no sound and the display is as viewed in the video. Any suggestions besides buying a new tv?

Oh dear....Looks like you're going to have to get it serviced :( 1-888-237-8289 That's the number you need to call - it will cost you though I'm sorry.

This problem is quite frequent in this brand of TV's, I would go with a Samsung next time :)

Does the insignia ns-p42q-10a need a converter box or just an antenna?

Hello
Just find out, whether your TV is compactable for Digital and Analogue signals reception. You can find this information at its user manual [specifications page], usually come at the last page. If it is not compactable for both analogue and digital, you must have to buy one [D/A] {digital to Analogue} converter.

Insignia NS-LB032X-10A we bought from a friend that claimed virtually no use and we have not manual and can't get any sound out of it. Please help if you can. It is a 32 TV &built in DVD year 2009

Do you mean the NS-LBD32X-10A? The manual is available here: http://insigniaproducts.com/products/televisions/NS-LBD32X-10A.html?supportTab=open . The direct link to the manual is http://insigniaproducts.com/cms/documents/NS-LBD32X-10A%20UM%20EN.pdf .

Check if the speakers are muted or if the volume is low. Then go to the Menu and in the Audio submenu go down to Speakers. Make sure that the internal speakers are on.

If the speakers still don't work, they may have failed or the wiring may be damaged. Unfortunately, I do not see any speakers for the TV from my usual vendors.

I hope this helps.
