It depends on the brand of jet and tub, if it is a gold or silver trim ring, they will generally pry off with a screwdriver, just be careful not to damage the tub when doing so. When prying, move the screwdriver around the jet an inch at a time, just like opening a can of paint. Some rings will screw on, but most just pry off.

Aeromax tub some jets not blowing air

Hi Claude.
If your spa jets appear to be pulsating or pausing, first check to make sure your filter isnot clogged. If your filter appears to be okay, you should next take a look at your hot tub's water level. If there is too little water, air could be working its way into the system through the jets.

I have a whirlpool tub and need to find some caps to cover the jets. Not sure what brand tub is, sides are all covered. Can you help?

try a plumbers shop as it is a whirlpool tub
you state that it is a whirlpool tub then you say don't know what brand of tub it is
whirlpool is a brand name
any way the plumbers display of bathroom units and tubs will help you as the jets used are generic and not specific for the tub

Can I disconnect one of the jets on my Jacuzzi brand jetted tub, so I can use less water and still have a water level above all the remaining jets?

To disconnect one of the jets to get more water flow to the other jets may not be very practical as you will need to remove the tub and cut the plumbing to the jet in question and cap it off.
The other solution that you may use is you have adjustable jets is to turn the water off by the face of the jet, clockwise.
If your jets are not adjustable then the first solution would be your only option other than purchasing a large horse power bath pump so you would get more water flow.

I have a 14 year old Aker whirlpool tub. During bathroom remodeling, I found a leak where the pipe comes out of the jet. I could not repair it. Are the jets available yet? I found two numbers on the...

Jet bodies match only the jet trim that goes with them. These are a set and are not interchangeable with other models or brands of jet. Each Bath Part in unique in subtle ways only.
In order to find the correct jet body you need to match up the face of the jet trim to what is shown online. Once you know that brand of jet trim we can find you the correct jet body.
I would invite you to search our site at US Parts Center and see if you can find the jet face that you have.
Once you do we will be able to match up the correct jet body for you.

I have a walk-in jacuzzi-type bathroom tub. When the automatic blower comes on it sends out a mildew smell. How can I get rid of it?

First of all, after each use, refill the tub with warm water and run the jets for about 10 minutes to clear out any excess debris etc.

To eliminate the smell/mildew/mold. :
-Fill the tub to above the jet level with HOT (over 140deg.) water
-Add two tablespoons of low sudsing dishwasher detergent and five cups of distilled white vinegar
-Run the jets for 20 minutes
-Drain the tub and use a tooth brush or any small brush to gently clean inside and around all of the jets and nozzles, remove all foreign material you can from the areas inside (disassemble the outter rings to do so) and around the outlets. Be as thorough as possible.
-Rinse and refill the tub with CLEAN COLD water and run the jets for another 20 minutes.
-Drain the water and the smell and mildew should be eliminated.

To prevent future mildew build up/odors once a month fill the tub with HOT water (again) and four to five cups of vinegar (no detergent) and run the jets for 20 minutes. Drain and fill with clean cold water running jets another 20 minutes. If the tub is used very often you can increase the scheduled flushing of the system to every two to three weeks. The mildew/mold flourishes in the warm wet areas inside the jet tubing and nozzles. Diligent maitenance is the best way to make sure you're not bathing with any unwanted guests in your bathwater!

-Take care

I have installed a brand new 4 hp pump and a brand new Balboa heat and control package. I have wet vacuumed all the jets and removed filter. Pump is still weak and kicks off after awhile. How do I...

most of the jets in a Hot Tub are adjustable. the face of each jet can turn on/off. Make sure they are all open or you will not have good water flow and cause too much back pressure on the pump and cause it to fail.
check the jet faces when you turn the pump on.
also a dirty filter will cause low water flow so check that too. take it out and see what pressure you get through the jets.

I have a leaking jet in a pearl jet tub. it's an older model with just two jets installed in 1997 the jet leaks and i don't know how to jet the face plate off the jet, or have a diagram as to get the jet...

If there is a  threaded nut on the back of the jet, undo the nut as much as possible and push the jet out into the tub. Spread aquarium grade silicone around the jet and push back into the hole, put more silicone in front of the nut, you may have to spread it in the small area with your finger or if you can squirt it in from the tube of silicone. If there is no  threaded ring on the backside of the jet, go to the jet in the tub and looking down on the jet, turn it to the right. It should pop and pull out of the housing. There will be a retaining ring that may require a special tool to remove it, once the ring is out, clean it very well, spread silicon on the threads and the lip. Reinstall in the hole, reinstall jet wait 24 hours and fill and test for leaks. Take you time and you will not have to do it over again. Check where the leak is coming from, sometimes there is a hairline crack in the jet assembly, if this is the case, make sure the area is dry then use a 2 part epoxy for plastic (from lowes or home depot) and smear this all over and around the crack, let dry 24 hours, fill and test.
