My stainless frigidaire professional series electric stove oven door is locked...i did not self clean it, but it is locked somehow...if i hold either the lock button, or the clear/off button for 15 seconds or so, it shows f1 err...how do i get this opened??

You can perform a reset on your appliance which can be done by disconnecting power from your appliance for roughly ten minutes. If your control panel has a cancel button hold that down and that should release the door. Based on the symptoms you are describing, it appears that your Frigidaire range is possibly locked. Typically, the "Door Locked" light will glow until the Self-Clean cycle has completed or the oven temperature has cooled. However, if the issue continues, please confirm that the Oven Control Lockout feature was not accidently selected (on some models). If so, you can cancel this feature by pressing CLEAR/OFF and hold for approximately 10 seconds. The control will unlock the oven door and resume normal operations.

If the instructions above do not solve the problem, may I please have your model number? The serial tag, which lists your model number, is typically located in the storage drawer, on the right side. there may be a problem with the door switch try pushing in the door a little bit.also hold the clear off key for 3 to 5 seconds this should allow you to open the door.

I cleaned my oven and now the door won,t open. The lock light is flaching.

The F9 code indicates there is a problem with the door lock.

Try disconnecting the power to the range for 10 seconds and reconnecting. Open the oven door and hold the door switch plunger in while you try these things. Put the control into clean for 5 minutes then cancel clean. You must hold the door switch plunger in for the 5 minutes.

Try canceling the clean cycle without putting the control into clean.

How do you adjust the oven door on a Fridgedaire Gallery Series gas stove?

I had the same problem. All I had to do was clean around the door lock. A small bit of burnt food or something had gotten into the hole around the lock and prevented it from moving all the way into position. Took a tooth pick and 30 seconds of probing to clean it out. Works fine now.

My oven door stays locked , when I press the clear button I get F1?
I hold the clear button for a few seconds and still nothing.

Can you locate the model number on the oven? Also any particular name of the stove? The manufactured year. These should all be available on a stainless steel or aluminum attached plate , probably on the back of the stove or inside the door.
I wouldn't try using the self cleaning feature until we get some advice. it could lock up on you and not UNLOCK. Normally self cleaning takes place at 600 or more degrees .

I'm sure others still have the same stove., I will see what I can find for you.
