Yahoo Messenger 10 doesn't show anything except advertising within it's main window. Tried uninstalling/reinstalling -which even though was successful, didn't solve my problem. Any suggestions?

Or, I would suggest upgrading the version of your Internet Explorer. Yahoo products like Yahoo Messenger rely its stable connection through Internet Explorer of Windows.
It doesn't matter if you are using Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome. Just upgrade the version of Internet Explorer and that will fix it.
1. Delete Temp files and cookes @ IE - Tolls - Internet Options
2. Download and run "Spybot Search and Destroy"
3. Make sure to uninstall all Yahoo Messager files in ther control panel - "programs and features" or "Add and remove programs" before installing a fresh copy
4. Click forgot password, have them E-mail it to you and change it if you are given the option
5. If all else fails, reinstall OS, guarantee to work then.

it may be fixed by deleting extra key in registry settings.
navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER \Software \Microsoft \Windows
\CurrentVersion \Internet Settings\ then delete keys other than
0,1,2,3,4 get someone who knows around windows registry to set it

I have the same problem with this error and I have uninstalled and reinstalled a dozen or so times. Plus I have even tried to run a registry cleaner as well and a virus scan and I still come up with the same problem. What do I do to solve this problem??

This can be a corrupted yahoo messenger and the best way to solve this concern is to uninstall and reinstall the yahoo messenger on your computer and that should make everything work...
