Try to check your touch pad without AC power i mean run your computer on battery if your touchpad working ok on battery so there is a problem with your adapter ampere ask any local repairing center to check your adapter ampere or change your adapter and do not purchase compatible adapter, compatible adapter can not resolve your touch pad problem go for original adapter from toshiba

This will help. Thanks please keep updated. please do rate the solution positively .Thank you for using Fixya

Cursor jumps all over the place! Cursor "arrow" shifts to cursor "four-arrrow" then decides to change zoom level all on its own. Cursor disappears, is nowhere on the screen then...

The Touchpad is the cause. Although some work fine for years others jump the the pointer every time you type (or sneeze). You can turn the touchpad off if you have a mouse for the laptop. Otherwise, you might need to exchange/purchase another model laptop.

The cursor of my toshiba satellite has gone out of control .

You can try reinstalling the driver. I'm not sure how old your computer is or how much use it's had, it could be that the touch pad is worn out and needs to be replaced. You could try using a plug in mouse or track ball. Track balls work better with a laptop and are more like using a touch pad.

I have a toshiba satellite A100 and the cursor jumps all over the page, its extremely annoying as I type a lot of letters etc. The FN F9 is not working... how to fix this???

You can change the way the cursor functions. Here is how. From the "Start Menu", select Control Panel in the (right pane), next select Hardware and Sound, select, the "Mouse". In the Mouse, "Properties" (window) change mouse functions. I hope this Fix it

My cursor on my toshiba laptop keeps jumping when am typing

Ive seen this problem a few times, the problem is that your accidently or inadvertently touching the touch pad as you type. To fix this just disable the touchpad when your typing or put a piece of paper over it. To disable the touchpad it varies on different models but can normaly be done with a button near it, a FN and F1-8 key combo or through the touchpad driver on the task bar. Consult your manual for information on how to disable this.

My cursor on my toshiba laptop keeps jumping when am typing, its very annoying to find it on a sentence you did not intend to type on. what can I do?

It's probably a bad contact in your keyboard.
Best think to do is take it out for cleaning.
the service manual should be that one :
http://www.eserviceinfo.com/downloadsm/26242/Toshiba_Satellite%20A20%20Series.html
with a bit of info her:
http://www.irisvista.com/tech/laptops/toshiba-satellite-a205/laptop-disassembly-1.htm

you can try to shake it (to if something broken in there), vacuum it (be carefully),
If nothing better think replacement..
Thanks for using fixya…good luck and don’t forget to rate this…
cheers
