The rear screen can be replaced. Unfortunately Panasonic specifically charges so much for their replacement parts that it is not an economical repair on this model of camera. The replacement screen will run in the range of $125-$145 and the labor to install it will be about $50 depending on where you go.
You are best advised to get a new camera, although because this one still "works" you can still use it as a back up!
