How do i activate my security lock on my bekin g wirless

did you tried login in you router's ip it goes something like 192.168.1.1 and virie from a router to another, log in there and try to find wirless security, then change the pass as you wich

If your xbox is also connecting wirelessly, you have to input also the wireless security key on your xbox to be able to connect.

You may need to logon to the configuration page of your to setup the security.

with the wrt54g you need to open a internet browser and navigate to 192.168.1.1
a security screen will pop up to which the username is "admin" and the password is either "admin or blank, (unless you specified otherwise when running the install.

once in click wireless then security in the sub menu (under the wireless link you just clicked) then fill in the boxes

The default lock code is the last four digits of your number.  If you changed it then go to your local Verizon Wirless store and so if they can help you.

For wireless connection you need a wireless adaptor in your laptop. Most of the laptop comes with wireless adaptor. If you have one then go to control panel--> network connection--> right click on wireless connection and view available networks in your area.

Please note : If you see a lock sign in front of a network it means that network is secured and you cant access it without password.

on the 1st plase u should chek your encrpchen code

Go to the web based interface, should be accessible by typing this address. 198.162.1.1 . Once there look for the security tab where it will ask you to choose wap or wep. Choose wep if available it's more secure, from there just follow the instructions to set a SSD and password .
